College Prowler Take
The super-fast Ethernet connection at AU has students wondering why they ever tolerated the trials of dial-up connections. The wireless network is a great convenience for students with laptops who want to emerge from their dorm rooms when writing term papers. This makes buying a laptop the best choice for those bringing their own computers.
Bringing your own computer would be best, but students who can’t bring one need not worry; there are plenty of computer labs on campus with Internet access, but some tend to get crowded, so it pays to acquaint yourself with the ones that don’t fill up quickly.

I always use my own laptop since our library is too small for the amount of students that we have. There are some great centers around the University, like the GLBTA Resource Center that has additional computer stations. You can usually always find a free computer, but everyone has laptops anyway.

I've never had problems getting on a computer, but I have my own as well. The wireless is not always reliable, which is annoying.

I would highly recommend bringing your own personal computer. Also, the Wi-Fi is not very good and nearly inexistent on some parts of campus. This will lead most people to use wired Internet in their rooms.

Please bring your own computer....
Please bring your own computer. The computers in the library sometimes break down. On the bright side, if you bring your own, you will enjoy the wonders of an entirely wireless campus, and yes, that includes the outdoor areas. The network runs great. They rarely have to perform maintenance on it, and it's almost always up and running.
