Though students say there is a large variety of drugs available on campus, ranging from pot to opium, it is easy to avoid them. Drugs are not an integral part of students’ social lives at AU, but for those that want them, they are certainly available.
AU has a strict drug policy, confiscating drugs and expelling dealers. While this has not made drugs disappear from campus, it means that students who aren’t interested need never be exposed to the drug scene. Students at both ends of the drug-use spectrum can live together peacefully without bothering or interfering with each other.
