Advice on Finding a Job/Internship Make use of the Career Center. Learn how to write professional cover letters and resumes, and keep your eyes open for fliers posted around campus offering positions. Surf the Internet for opportunities and form relationships with your professors so they can write you recommendations or give you advice on where to apply. Be careful about your Facebook page and what you make public because most employers in D.C. check them before hiring.
Did You Know? Eighty-one percent of American University undergraduate students have participated in an internship.
