Guys & Girls:
I feel like everyone at Anderson University is getting engaged or already married and I hate that type of pressure. There are also a lot of attractive young ladies at Anderson University some are stuck up and others are ok.

Communication skills are essential in almost every field of professionalism. In my communication major I learned to debate, influence and clearly present issues both in speech and written form. I gained listening skills, critical thinking skills, and conflict resolution techniques. I find little cons regarding a communication degree other than as a stand alone bachelors degree it may have limited income potential. The pro side, however, is image the income benefit to an attorney, a politician, or business person who has these skills.

I had no luck at but still looking.

Anderson is a good school but the thing I do not like the most is that the people are very cliquey and negative stereo types that occur, and the people could act fake for the most part. The freshman can be so annoying and most of them do not like to socialize with other people. I have to admit their are so many people who are shelter at this college.

There isn't any in Anderson because you cant go to bars and the activities the CAB puts on are rarely fun

You make Anderson University what it is. I feel as if some "professors" teach well, other expect for you to get it the first time. Everyone come from different backgrounds and different levels of learning things. Some teachers are fair, and will encourage study groups or one on one meetings with the professor. I must say the one on one meetings helped my Spanish grade move up from D- to a B at the in of the semester.

There isn't much to do in Anderson at all. I would think the local attractions would be in Muncie and Indianapolis. The Mall is very small and stores are expensive. The best thing Anderson has to off is Hoosier Park and a lot of restaurants on Scatterfield Road. Other than that, Anderson Indiana and Anderson University is boring.

I am going to be honest about the Dining Services. First off you never know what to expect going into the Market Place. Some days the food is alright the other days you wonder why you wasted your meal that day. Out of 10 I give the Market Place a 6.5-10. You can't get as much food one plate as you want. They serve us like little children. I am 22 years old, I can serve myself. The lines are way too long and the service is very slow. I want to get in and get out.

Health & Safety:
As a football player at Anderson University, I feel safe day and night. I really don't think much of anything going on wrong at night, but if I had a car I would be more concerned about what goes on at night. I have had many of my friends at school complain about people messing around their cars or breaking into them late at night. I think there should be more active security on campus driving.

Not a ton of diversity here, but what does exist is very well blended and nobody feels excluded

There are some new additions to campus such as the performance hall that really have been great. There is also talk of getting a new student center within the next few years

Classes are rarely canceled campus-wide because of inclement weather, but professors cancel classes individually. The rain and snow have hit Anderson pretty hard at times, but students have fun with it. Also, our department secretaries are very good at giving us a heads up about the weather and sometimes give us weekly outlooks on how the weather should look.

Student life is crazy at Anderson; I have made so many friends. There are a lot of crazy stories about the squirrels on campus (underground rebellion is on the rise...), there is always someone hanging out at Mocha Joe's (the coffee shop), the Valley is the best place to see springtime, and when you're stressed, take it out on the treadmills in Kardatzke Wellness Center.
College Sophomore 2013-05-14T13:51:16Z
Some of the facilities, such as the concert hall and the Wellness Center are very new and state of the art, while others are in need of renovation and repair. The coffee shop in the student center often has ceiling leaks and the furniture has seen better days, but ironically, most students don't care; it's one of the most popular student hang-outs. One of the dormitories, Rice Hall, is in fact on schedule for demolition and will be rebuilt in the next two years. Overall, Anderson University is just right.

I have met so many international students and students of different races at AU. I have learned a lot about the cultures they have come from and what they did to get to Anderson. I've had late night debates about politics and beliefs on scientific theory, religion, sexual orientation, and a variety of other topics. These debates are always civil and respectful, and I am enlightened by the views of my fellow classmates. I have met so many different people and have learned so much about and from them.

Guys & Girls:
It's a "Christian School" but many ladies will still judge guys based on whether they would date them and if the answer is no they will both refuse to talk to you AND lie to the police about you no matter how nice and respectful you are. Source: 3 years of personal experience.

Never have I ever been a part of such an amazing group of men. We have three fraternities and three sororities on campus, called social clubs in an effort to distance ourselves from stereotypical greek life involving really dumb decisions. Through Dativus I met more people and hang out with more people than I have in the non-club time I have been at the school. Don't think we don't have fun, but don't think we are some kind of exclusive hazing ritual either.

Guys & Girls:
The range of men is about as wide as women: the personalities range from nerdy and shy to outgoing and loud. It seems as though every one is musically talented on campus, and our redneck cowboys to our preppy jocks are perfect southern gentlemen. The females are beautiful, kind-hearted women and love to talk each others ear's off. But don't be fooled, the women will jump in on an intermureal game of flag football, and an hour later be performing in a jazz concert. Couldn't ask for a more gifted student body

Campus security is very strict and serious about enforcing rules. They are on top of campus parking and issue violations, warning and tickets on a daily basis. They patrol campus everyday and even double as traffic control for chapel crowds. They patrol the whole neighborhoods around campus which makes partying and underage drinking very difficult to do. They are in contact with students everyday, and help with broken down vehicles, EMT, security and Police Officers. They enforce campus speed limit signs and ensure that Anderson students are as safe as possible.

There are lots of activities to be involved in around campus and the majority of the people are friendly and will smile at you when you walk by.

The security on campus is great. Nothing that I know of has ever happened to endanger us as students. The health is a great factor as well. Both are great.

My major is Family Science at Anderson University. I like my major a lot! My adviser is great and has a degree of his own. It covers lots of areas in Sociology and Psychology so this major is a mixture of the two as well as having distinct courses for the major itself.

I have received lots of financial aid that I am thankful for, but I still have many loans. I recommend applying for as many scholarships as possible, the loans will add up

Well, in Indiana it can be very cold. All of the classes are fairly close together, so even when you have to walk from one building to the next...its not that far away.
College Sophomore 2013-04-12T01:24:28Z
Campus has an array of different parking lots. It is true, if you want to get a close to the door parking space, you will have to arrive fairly early in the morning. The parking lots are all color coded to match the parking tag on your vehicle. The parking lot that is usually the most accessible for me, is approximately one block from my classes. The walk is beautiful, even in the cold!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
