While Anderson is a city of very friendly people, it is certainly a town that is struggling financially. There is a lot of poverty, and it shows. Despite this, there is a lot of work going in to reviving the city.

Anderson University constantly has something going on for students to keep them involved in the community and campus. Whether it be a CAB (campus activity board) event like Disco, Dancing, and Donuts, or just a service project in the city, everyone has something to do

There are shuttles that run in the spring to local busines, like walmart and cvs. Other than that there are really no services unless you have a car of your own.

Cigarettes and Alcohol – I know of some students that hide around campus to go smoke or hide alcohol.

As a single mom there should be more help with aid. I was told I get everything there is to offer. There also should be more private school grants.

Supporting Spanish Education – As a Spanish Education major, I essentially double major in Spanish and Education, with a couple extra classes infusing the two subjects. The Foreign Language Department is very active; they host several activities where you can practice your speaking with fellow students, such as photo clubs and the Immersion Party. The Education Department is also very supportive. The teachers are very willing to work with you, and they are all incredibly personable. My education classes are usually my favorite parts of the day. Both departments make it easy to fit in.

Not So Greek – AU has social clubs rather than sororities and fraternities, so they are not as intense as other colleges. They have to accept anyone who joins, so it's easy to get into one. They host several events at school and do things as groups, but they are really laid back. They don't run the school or dominate the social life.

Going on Foot – At Anderson University you can go anywhere on foot since the complete campus takes up about two blocks. You can pretty much get anywhere within ten minutes, so you do not have to stress out about leaving early. There is a shuttle bus that goes around campus and goes to stores like Wal-Mart, but it's hard to find what the schedule is. They also have the bus available during the winter so you don't have to walk if you don't want to.

Small School, Big Opportunities – Although Anderson started out as a Bible College, it has significantly developed over the years. The school offers a wide range of degrees, anything from Dance to Theology to Business or Biology. Most of the degree programs have prerequisite courses and an interview or review to get into the program. Once you are part of the program the professors and students become family. The programs offer diversity and an unrepeatable experience.

"Academic and Christian Discovery" – That is what it is all about, discovery. At Anderson University (Indiana) faculty and staff are there to learn from you as you learn from them. They have created a learning environment that helps students better understand the world they grew up in, the world surrounding them and the professional world they are transitioning into. It is a unique place. It's a Private-Liberal-Christian University which encourages making connections and creating community.

Being in the adult education program as allowed me to avoid paying for parking. Classes on campus are typically in areas that only require permits until 5pm. I do believe a year parking pass is around $30.

The Financial Aid office has been helpful although they did not warn me I was near my maximum lifetime on my loans until now and I am nearly out of money. I hope I receive enought grants to pay for it all so I can graduate in the spring.

Great Program – The adult program is great but some of the online professors are lacking in their interaction. Overall a great place to attend.

Challenging but Worthwhile – We have an INCREDIBLE Music Business program! It was recently featured in Billboard magazine! I've talked to people from so many different colleges who are jealous of the way our program is run! Also, when we go to panels and conventions, I usually already know most of the stuff they're talking about! it's great.

Pretty Good – The city as a whole doesn't have much to do...but there's always something happening on campus, and the students and faculty are all very relational. plus, CAB puts on a lot of fun events.
