I have not had an Internship yet, but I do plan to do so. Working as a manager at WQME 98.7 FM over the summer has been like an internship though, and I love the experience! Anderson University is great with finding intenships for graduates or undergrad students.

The Proccess is very good, it is just complicated for me. My dad lost his job about 4 years ago and was out of work for 2 years. Now he has lost his job again, and my family is low on money. The school is trying to help us as much as they can!

Audio/Video/Cinema Productions Major – For me, getting into my program at AU, has been amazing. The teachers are very good with getting you involved, and the options are great. During my first year at AU, I am already a manager at the radio station WQME 98.7FM thanks to my teachers and being bold. I cannot wait to further my education here. Within the first few years, the hands on experience you get is fenominal.

Fall School of Business – The Fall School of Business at Anderson University is the premier program at the school, it offers an excellent and hard working staff who are hands on and are willing to go the extra mile. The new Trading room is state of the art when it comes to finance as well.

Great but Few – There aren't a lot of scholarships available through the university but what the amount awarded is above average.

Computers are nice, and a many available. The performance speed is slow.

Walk or Find a Ride – You can walk everywhere on campus, and the farthest you would have to walk is like ten minutes. Buses run during the winter and they don't cost anything. However if you have to go somewhere off campus and it is not within walking distance then you have to find a ride.

All Around Outstanding – The professors are very flexible and willing to help in anyway. The curriculum is tough. Registration is easy. Workload can be loaded and hard, but usually pretty manageable. There is the Kissinger Learning Center where people can go to get tutored if they need help. The library is a nice place to study, but if it's nice outside then the valley or quad is great.

Judgement but No Housing – Our "Greeks" are a part of the campus and have a type of association depending on which one you are in, but there are no houses. It does not necessarily mean others will look down on you because you are in a certain group.

Love It! I love living on campus. It is like a second home to me. I lived in Rice Hall freshman year and even though it is the oldest dorm on campus, it has a great atmosphere and I loved it! The upperclassman dorms are great as well. I lived in Morrison Hall and I love it as much as Rice. My roommate and I were able to rearrange our room however we wanted and I loved being able to just walk down the hall to visit friends. The dorm atmosphere is fantastic. Next year, I will be living in an on campus apartment and I am very excited, I think it is going to be great!

Only When You Are a Senior – At Anderson, students are not allowed to live off-campus until their senior year or if they have the status of a senior according to their credits. I do not know much about off-campus housing except what I have seen my friends do. No one ever seems to have much trouble finding off-campus housing and it is all fairly near to campus.

Some Local, Some Not – Anderson has a few local things that are a must do. For example, everyone must go to Deluxe Donuts, get a Ricker's Pop, get a snowcone from Snow Castle, and visit some of the local restaurants like Eva's Pancake House or the Lemon Drop. That is about it when it comes to entertainment in Anderson. But, there are other cities close by that provide more entertainment. Noblesville has plenty to do and it is about 30 minutes or so away. There are other schools that are also about 30 minutes away like IWU and Ball State.

I am in the dorms and I don't know the options for off-campus housing. I know you can get an apartment or a house if you are in your senior year.

I have just started my coursework. I had some trouble getting all the classes I wanted to take because of scheduling. But I plan to take summer school also.

I have a wide range of classes to choose from. I must take two religion classes, and my music courses are decided. But, I can choose many science, and English subjects that interest me. I can choose some dance classes, also. There are small classes with concerned professors. I can ask questions and get help at Kissinger student center. they can find me tutors and help me with my papers.

Olt Dining Hall – It has several menus and a big variety. You can go in any line and it is all you can eat. I use Raven points for my food.

The academics are pretty great. The teachers are dedicated toward your sucess instead of failure. You have counselors for your main subject as well as other people assigned to you to help you along. I will have a large workload as I am in the music department. I have scholarships for voice and flute performance, so I must be in private lessons and performing groups to keep those scholarships. When I get my degree, I will be licensed in music education-K-12.

NO DRUGS – There is a policy of having no alchohol on campus and if you are caught with it, you are kicked out. There is no warning or slap on the wrist. Do it once and you are done.

Hanging Is Fun – Nightlife doesn't really exist with it being a Christian college. Nightlife here means hanging in dorms, chilling in Mocha Joe's, or if it's nice out playing disc golf.

Good Enough? There are tons of places to park, but security does their job all too well. More people on campus have cars now and parking is very limited everyday except for on the weekends.

Ok but Repetitive – After attending the school for a year, you realize that the food is good, but the options get tiring.

Very Caring Professors, but You Should Definitely Have Some Self-Motivation – There are a lot of good classes. Some are very easy and some are very hard, mostly depending on the professor. Every professor I know is very personal and really cares about all of their students. For most classes, you should be self-motivated because you get out of it what you put into it. I love nearly every class I have taken and they really challenge people in their thinking, which I think prepares people a lot for the real world. Ministry has an open standpoint and a lot of the professors are quite liberal, while still holding to a biblical foundation. The students have all been extremely nice and supportive of each other, as well. The downfall, in my opinion, is that there should be a better internship program. And sometimes it is hard for students to ask for help, but the professors could push us more and require more from us as far as holding us accountable for the readings we do and such.

A Lot of Stuff for Interests in Books, Sports, Art, Dance, Music, Business, Science, and Ministry – There is a fairly new Wellness Center that is really nice, with a big indoor track, weight lifting machines, ellipticals and treadmills upstairs, as well as a basketball and volleyball gym, a swimming pool, training centers for athletic trainers (meaning a lot of good equipment and such for treating injuries and such), a dance studio and more. Our library is amazing with a lot of expensive donations. We have a brand new performance hall being built, as well as another huge auditorium and an additional stage for theater performances. The student center is a bit old and small for the size of the student body, but there has been talk of building a new one and there is a nice coffee place downstairs with pool tables and ping pong tables. We also have an art gallery, many practice rooms for music students, biology labs, nursing labs, several dining options, a christian seminary, and an on-campus counseling facility and health services facility.

There are a couple of negative stereotypes that go along with a certain sorority and a certain fraternity on campus, but they are working to change that. There is no Greek housing. And they actually call our sororities and fraternities "social clubs", but they are good for connecting with other people on campus and they do a lot of community service things which is nice. For the most part, the social clubs intermingle with other people, though, too. Sometimes I don't even know who is part of a social club and who is not. Also! There are some shows and events put on by some of the social clubs that are really fun to be a part of.

Carpooling Seems to Be the Most Used Way of Traveling for People Without a Car of Their Own – There is a free student bus to take you around our moderately small campus and they offer more than just campus for the colder months. There is a CVS down the street, as well as a pizza place. I have a car, but I don't need to use it as much, except for going to church on Sundays. A lot of people there carpool and everyone is very nice, so that's never been a problem. There is a street close by with nearly every basic store you could want there, but the closest airport is like 45 minutes away in Indianapolis.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
