Tuition & Financial Aid:
Angelina College is a good place to start. They help you afford college and it is inexpensive. The financial office is easy to find in the student center.

The facilities on campus are great. Everything is very well kept. The college just recently added a new program and new sports facilities.

I am looking trying to get into nursing school this fall. All of the advisors have been more than helpful getting me into classes that i need. I like the campus, it has a feel of a four year university but the size of a community college. I never had a negative experience at the college.

There Is No Scoop. My school doesn't have anything interesting at all. Nothing to engage the students or get them involved in anything. It is very boring. I think it is because more of the population is older.

My college is pretty flexible in alot of things because it is a community college. Scheduling classes was very easy because you can do it online and the overall experience of the classroom is great. The only problem was registering and getting all the financial aid stuff set up because the office is so small and there are only a few counselors to meet the rising number of students.

Horrible Online Classes – Online classes at AC can be easy or extremely time consuming and challenging, all depending on what professor you have. I was required to take a student development class online and the papers they had us filling out and submitting were based on our inferences of the chapters, yet I still made Fs on everything. Even after emailing the teacher, she said I wasn't doing it correctly, when my classmates who had other teachers were getting As for less thorough work.

Good Schedule, Nothing Transferred. I love being able to choose my own schedule and pick what classes I want to take, but they don't offer classes in the field that I'm most interested in. The classes I have took won't transfer.

Teacher Student Relationships – Since the campus is moderately small, you gain a relationship with you professors you may not have if you were to attend a larger campus. This closer relationship helps with things like class work and getting future references for transferring colleges or jobs.

From what I have seen there are tons of services, including career oriented ones and they do all they can do support our students.

Online Experience – So far I am loving the time I have spent with my online classes and professors. It is nice to see so many peers enrolled with me on various topics.

There is a wide variety of student types at Angelina. I thought I was particularly old when I began taking classes. The more I am on campus the more I see students older than I. There is also a cultural diversity of the student body.

Most of the teachers I have dealt with have been very professional and helpful, especially since I live 57 miles from campus. Unfortunately, I have had one teacher that was less than helpful or accomodating. I took the class at night (it was a 5 hour class, ended at 10pm. He could only let us look at our tests during the day on his appointment schedule and refused to let us see our test in class. He would only post our grades on an outside wall. If we wanted to look at the test, we had to schedule an appointment during the daytime.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Overall Worth It – Discounting the "out-of-district" fees, the price per class is very reasonable and definitely worth the money. The "out-of-district" fees are ridiculous. However, I have had a very difficult time getting the financial aid personnel to send documents needed for my military benefits.

The Way Things Are – I had not intended on coming to Angelina at first. However, since I've been here things have been amazing for me. I love the interaction between the students and the student-teacher relationship. I feel that I'm more capable of learning in this environment. So far it's been an all around great experience so far.
