Angelo State University has good computer labs that are generally up-to-date and available to students. There does happen to be a slight shortage of availability due to space and lack of non-teaching labs. Most students have their own computers, so this isn't too much of a problem, but for those who do not, it could be an issue. The MCS (Math and Computer Science) building at ASU has a lab available for the student body and has 14 computers at its "print station" for students who merely need a lab to print off a paper or lab manual. The library commons has a lab and printer but also checks out laptops to students. The public lab computers also have up to date software programs such as Adobe creative design packages.
Each student at ASU is allotted 800 free print credits each semester, with additional credits costing $10 per 100 credits. The school server keeps track of how many sheets of paper a student prints. The 800-credit limit has been subject of controversy among students, with some barely needing any credits and some majors having to print out more material for class than the 800 allows for. So far no word on whether the limit will be raised. Along with print credits, students are also allotted a small amount of server space to save projects in that can be accessed from any ASU computer connected to the server.
