Clubs and Organizations on Campus
Student organizations can be grouped into five categories: charity, Greek, hobby, religious, and minority. The religious clubs are generally all Christian denominations. The hobby organizations are ones like Anime Club, or the Crux Monkeys climbing club. Minority groups like the Association of Mexican American Students (AMAS) are designed to spread knowledge about minorities. Lastly, charity-type groups like the TOMS Club, or Silver Wings (Air Force supporters) are about love of charity and the fellow man. To start a club, a student must have a petition of interest for the club, and it must be approved by the Center for Student Involvement.
