The campus was great for small classrooms and good teacher student ratios. Teachers were availablr for after class tutoring when I went there.

Small number of parking spaces but most students lived on campus when I attended.

There are plenty of parking spots on campus, and parking permits are easy to get with our Public Safety Department. Because certain groups of people, such as commuters, faculty, and freshmen can only park in designated areas, parking can become tricky when the rules are not followed. Public Safety is quick to act when an issue arises. A car on campus is helpful to leave campus, but on campus, a car is not necessary because we are a small walking campus.

We Have People from All Walks of Life – We have quite a fair diversity of students in all aspects at Anna Maria, and we are all kind and friendly to each other. We have a department for Multicultural Affairs right on campus. Some people do seem to stay with who they are comfortable with, creating some groups, but overall, we are all together a big family.

The Food Sucks – the food is horrible and some students actually get sick from it.
College Senior 2012-06-19T19:13:01Z
It's Getting Complicated – The current situation at school is very touchy. We have a large diversity or students, but most minor ethnicities think they are being excluded in events on campus and/or they don't think there's enough variety in campus. In my opinion, I don't understand what they can't do that whites can.
College Senior 2012-06-19T19:10:29Z
Nothing Is Good – The professors are mostly fine, but sometimes the course load is unbearable. And VERY little work study options and ONLY to students who qualify for a work study. The school really should help students find jobs on and/or near campus to help pay for the tuition.
College Senior 2012-06-19T19:08:05Z
It's Good and Bad – The school has been much better about getting more activities to go to on campus, but there isn't anything within a 10 mile radius of Anna Maria, we have to travel a lot to have outside fun when there's nothing going on at school.
College Senior 2012-06-19T19:06:26Z
I Need More Variety – I need more variety and diversity in the classes provided at my school, I really don't have many options to obtain my grade, there's no fun or enjoyment with it at all. At least there are enough classes so I can get my degree, but it's not enjoyable at all.

Pot Smells Gross, the Alcohol Needs to Be Controlled – Drinking happens way too much on campus, I hate seeing and hearing it all the time. The pot HAS to go away, it smells gross and I don't appreciate the contaminated air in the residence halls that I have to breathe.

Students who commute but do not own a vehicle to get themselves to school find our shuttles very useful. These shuttles pick students up at a specific spot and time every day and drop them off at school. Throughout the day the shuttle busses have times that they pick up and drop off students.

There are no fraternity or sorority groups on campus. Although something could form anytime, it is not a part of our college's mission, nor a part of our vision for growth. All of the students are one great community, and we love that.

The Dining Hall Is So Welcoming. The dining hall is such a welcoming place to be. It feels so good to walk in and be with so many friends for each meal. The menu at Anna Maria has many healthy options, and though some of us love the many choices we have, others are not always satisfied with the complex food options. This is my favorite place to be each day on campus. I can be there hours just enjoying my time with people.

Our computers at Anna Maria are very accessible, but there are only so many, so having a personal computer of your own is very helpful. Those computers that are on the network are susceptible to network issues that occasionally occur. Wireless internet for your own computer devices is very reliable.

All incoming freshmen currently only have the option of living in Madonna Hall, and it is literally like a jail cell. The bathrooms on my floor are the cleanest ones in the building because my floor is the smallest but generally all the others are very dirty with bugs and insects crawling around. Next year Freshmen will be able ot move to St Anna's so thats sometihng positive because St Anna's was just built.

The dining hall recently switched their service providers from Sodexo Food service to Sage, because it was so terrible. Currently everyone is eating at the dinning hall and usually Lunch and Breakfast are typically pleasant. While dinner is always a hit or miss.

Labs Are Reliably – The computer labs at Anna Maria College are easily accessed, and are provided with the most updated software. But most students tend to own their own laptop and bring it in the Library. The network is very reliably.

Overall Review – The dining hall food is terrible, basically the same recycled food almost every week. A good week would involve not having stale pizza and soggy shephards pie. However, below the cafetria is an area known as the hub. During the daytime it is relatively quite and a good place to study if your downstairs neighbors are making too much noise, and during the night time it is the perfect place to rab some REAL food and smoothies. Academics are about average. The class sizes are small (for the most part) but certain subjects like algebra I and world cultures can get repetitive. Campus life is another story. Books, and tuition is abot average, however, actually living on campus is almost double most other colleges and is not worth it unless the commute is over an hour away or if you are a music student. The students that go there are usually very nice, ive never had an issue with anyone, and I probably lucked out in having the best roomate ever. However, if there is somethig personal going on in your life, or if you have a mental break do to stress the people in charge of campus life aree not the ones to go to. I had an experience where i became very stressed and had a mental breakdown, in turn, the school reacted by not only kicking me out for weeks but upon my return making sure id never hear the end of it. They made me feel so terrible about it that shortly after I got the withdrawal forms. Around that same time, i stopped going to classes and became scared and somewhat antisocial and which ase my friend came to my rescue, and the school, in my opinion acted in the most unprofessional manner. The counselor, rather than help me, wasted her breath defending the school. And the people in charge of campus life, locked me in a room gave me a letter that stated i was no longer welcome at the school and if i ever wanted to visit my friends I would have to apply to visit them on campus, and made call my mother. Along with having he letter and the phone call to prove it, I am over the age of eighteen, meaning I am obviously old enough to take care of myself. I also wonder how many laws a school can break before anyone notices, as something similar to this happened to a friend of mie at this school, and to a few others from previous years. If you can avoid living on campus amd speaking with the counselor, i suggest you do so. The school claims to be a Catholic instute but where were the Christian ethics in our time of need. With a small, barely existant church at the basement below the financial aid office and the library, and the attitude of the Res Life Officials, no wonder this school only houses about 1,000 students.

While Anna Maria does supply its students with transportation into worcester, it only does so on the weekdays and during certain times of the day. If you really want to enjoy the night life, have a designated driver with you.

Very Diverse – There are many different nationalities and races at anna maria and all seem to blend very positively
College Senior 2011-02-18T12:43:28Z
Decent but Not Enough – There is not enough stations for food and also not open enough. selection is decent though
Sorry, there are no reviews.
