Integrative Health and Healing – I've found integrative health and healing to be the missing puzzle piece of my life, and I know that it will be a great addition to my nursing career. The IHH program at Anoka Ramsey is managed by faculty who are extremely supportive, helpful, and understanding.

Not a Clue-Even Thought I'm Graduating in 8 Months! The advisor are very non-committal and not very helpful with finding my next school. They didn't have anything as far as recommendations for me.

Computer Speeds Are Not the Fastest. Computer labs can also be noisy and hard to print papers when 10 people are sharing the printer. Even though I have plenty of funds available for printing, it can be confusing when the papers print together for 3 people!

Know Your Learning Style! I took an accelerated summer online course, and I am in another online class this fall. I originally thought I would love the convenience of not having to drive to the school...but then quickly learned there is value to being 'face to face' with certain teachers with certain subjects! The teaching style and organization of the teacher and also the students primary method of learning are WISE things to look at when deciding to choose an online course. At Anoka Ramsey they have a great online forum called D2L that helps students keep track of their classes and assignments, and is user friendly for students to turn in work, check what's coming up, as well as checking your grades. For my online classes, I have to be very structured and set aside 'class time' or it can get away from me!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Overall the Financial Aid Office does a fine job, but in my case, the person who handles the Third Party Billing was not on top of things. This made purchasing necessary supplies and books for class much more difficult than it should have been. The rest of my financial aid package was straight forward and applied as it was intended to.

I have not needed to use any resources on campus such as the library, the athletic center or attended campus activities. I have used the bookstore and the guidance area and both had very helpful people who helped me right away.

Class Schedules – The class schedules are somewhat flexible. Some classes are only offered once a semester and that is difficult to work around. I have a very busy schedule and I had to pick some classes over others because they just did not fit into my schedule.

I go to Anoka Ramsey for PSEO because I am still in high school. I think Anoka Ramsey is too small of a school for me, it is kind of unprofessional, and the age difference of students is really weird. It makes classes awkward because it is not just college age students, there are many adults too.

Computer Labs – The computer labs are usually packed during the fall and spring semesters. The computers are usually slow mainly due to the fact that you have a lot of people usuing the internet at once.

Peer-To-Peer Interaction – The interaction is really different from the traditional classroom setting. You have to be careful to not offend anyone by what you say especially since all the interaction is done online.

Workload Is Managable – The workload is pretty tough depending on what courses you're taking but overall I fell that whatever course(s) you're taking the workload is definitely worth it.

There are several computer labs, printing on campus, network reliability and speed are excellent, wireless access is available, tech support available. Personal computer or printer is a plus but not a must.

A+ for Amazing!! I love the professors I've had so far. I took a class at a notoriously difficult professor, and I still loved it. It was challenging, but we had clear guidelines, and a lot of homework to help us get ready for the tests. I got an A, and I know I'm well prepared for the next class.
Teachers and tutors are very accessible and helpful. I can't say anything bad about my academic experience at ARCC

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I was randomly selected for verification two times in a row, and it takes forever to process FAFSA here. I was offered a job within the work-study program, but I don't even know if I will get it. I would hate to lose this opportunity because my application took 2 months to process!!!
Paperwork hassle aside, I love ARCC because education and atmosphere here are great!!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
My financial aid experience at anoka-ramsey was actually very easy. The tuition is well worth the education I' am receiving. I may not be able to afford all of it but what financial aid I have and the location of the school make it a very good choice for my college needs.

Anoka Ramsey Community College – The campus has a computer lab available for students, but it is often very busy and there is not much room available for everyone. The athletic center is very small and the workout room has very limited amount of equipment.

The majority of students are young people who either couldn't get in to other colleges, or intend to transfer somewhere else. There is also a decent amount of older people attending to change or supplement their current career or education. There is about an average amount of diversity in other areas.

I have a few classes that have online portions, but so far none of the instructors have posted anything, including grades, assigned work, or schedules... I had mostly all online or partial online courses at my previous college, and it definitely wasn't for me, so I kind of like not really having to use it, but if they have it available they should somehow make use of it.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
