Tuition & Financial Aid:
My tuition was paid for by the county and donations from others that know this program is the best to becoming a CNA . I did my best to show my appreciation for this chance they gave me.

Overall my experience was way better then I thought. I always pictured college to be crowded, large classes, I figured i would get lost in the crowd. Anoka Technical College is amazing. If I had the chance to choose a different college, I would still make the same decision and go to Anoka Technical College. It fit me perfectly.

Never took an online class so I can not answer that question.

I like it because they have a smaller class setting more one on one training. You can actually find classes. They are generalized in the same area, and if you do have an issue finding your class, there are maps and there are teachers willing to help you if you ask.

I have not yet had the chance to review the centers but i do hear they are available and I hear students talk about them all the time.

The network, wireless, computer labs, and printing are excellent as long as you have your user name and password. Couldn't of asked for anything better.

I Do not know I have not really used the resources that are given to the students beside the D2L which is very cool to use and useful when communicating with other students and the teacher.

In the class Im in deals with the people Ive been with in the Bridge class I have known them for a couple months but not from the college. Although I do know a lot of students that attend and they seem very happy to there. No one out side of our group has made an effort to really interact with us .

The course is AMAZING.Definitely lucky for Anoka County and the chance they give people who are in need of a higher education with no funds. Bridge class, which gets people ready for college classes and preps them for the course students enroll in, which in this case is the CNA program. Then they have speakers come in to train students in extra mini courses that help gain more experience in the program. They have students take tests to make sure they are college ready. Then the first course they have the students take is call Holistic Healing, which is a non-conventional way for healing ailments. After that course, They put students in the CNA program. Training, clinical's, and lab are very amazing. Especially the lab students train in. The lab has everything a hospital room would have, to make it that much easier to get hands on experience in a setting that gives you the "real" feeling. Simply Amazing.

I am getting school paid through from the county, they have a little bit of flexibility but the teachers do not, It is very hard considering things happen, especially when you have children and they become ill or something. If you miss one day that means no clinical's, they make you wait another month to do a clinical. To me that is not very flexible.

I think the excellent computer network and computer availability at Anoka Tech College greatly increases the value of taking classes there. The network is extremely fast and very reliable when I need to submit projects and essays from school. The computers also contain a set of Microsoft Word 2010 tools for writing papers or creating projects, which is amazing. There are about 50 to 100 computers available for students and at least 1 printer in each room.

I transferred to ATC from Inver Hills Community College. I found the credit transfer process to be extremely easy. Almost all of my general credits for nursing transferred within days and I was able to apply for the practical nursing program within one week. I learned from my advisor that I would have some flexibility with classes in the program. Some of the classes could be taken in advance or moved to a different semester, which made things much easier.

I think the licensed practical nursing program really sets this school apart from other colleges. The teachers are very knowledgeable about the nursing career and are required to have current licensure and registration as an RN or higher. The labs are very hands on and require physical and mental input from every student. The rooms are well equipped with hospital beds, mannequins, and other medical supplies. The lab assistants are very attentive and help students improve their skills during practice. There are also opportunities for tutoring, which I find extremely helpful. Overall, I think the LPN program at this college is a unique and valuable experience that encourages learning nursing in an environment specifically designed for the practical nursing student.

The student center is amazing. There are many computers throughout the center and there is always someone to answer any questions students may have. The library is filled with helpful books and also has numerous computers available for students. The cafeteria at this college stands out to me. It is very large with many windows and contains modern tables and chairs. The cafe sells a variety of foods and drinks as well. The cafeteria is conveniently lined with a half a dozen vending machines. The hallways contain comfortable chairs and couches for convient study room. Also, TVs listing current and future campus activities are mounted on the walls in the campus hallways, which helps students stay up to date on events. The lab rooms for nursing students are also amazing. They are lined with beds, mannequins, and other needed supplies for medical students. I gave this campus a grade of "A" because I think the lecture rooms could be improved. The chairs in each room are uncomfortably hard and I find it difficult to sit through lectures for 1 or 2 hours on them. If the chairs resembled ones that could be found in a doctor's office I would find it easier to concentrate on the lectures. Overall, I really like this campus because it has many helpful and convenient features that encourage enjoyable learning.

I have had great success with the Resource Center at Anoka Technical College. The staff is very helpful.

Anoka Technical College takes pride in making sure all available resources are known by all students. I have utilized the Academic Center and the Resource Center many times and have had a great response.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I wish I can get more financial aid and scholarship from anoka tech. My financial aid process was a disaster, it stresses me out so much!

I'm studying to be a medical assistant. On my first semester and taking generals right now. So far I got an okay number of homework, but I'm on my third week right now so we haven't had much crazy work overload yet.

There are all kinds of students at my school. Students with families and kids, elders, part time, full time students, and there are students like me who just want to get more education after high school. Everyone are friendly here!

The professors are very professional, but they also have a little hint of humor and that's great because it makes the class more fun. Sometimes they don't really explain much about our homework though, wish they can be more details with that. Overall it's a good school. I hope to earn my degree and start my career after I graduate from here.
