I am getting school paid through from the county, they have a little bit of flexibility but the teachers do not, It is very hard considering things happen, especially when you have children and they become ill or something. If you miss one day that means no clinical's, they make you wait another month to do a clinical. To me that is not very flexible.

I transferred to ATC from Inver Hills Community College. I found the credit transfer process to be extremely easy. Almost all of my general credits for nursing transferred within days and I was able to apply for the practical nursing program within one week. I learned from my advisor that I would have some flexibility with classes in the program. Some of the classes could be taken in advance or moved to a different semester, which made things much easier.

Classes curriculum was consistent with the program.

Academic Flexibility – When I enrolled into my program of choice I had some Gen. Ed. classes from years ago when I was enrolled in PSEO. ATC accepted those credits in transfer which significantly reduced the number of credits I needed to graduate from the program. In addition, a required core class did not fit into my schedule as offered by ATC. I was able to enroll at another location and transfer the credit back were it was accepted for graduation.

Better Than Expected – I would always recommend scheduling a meeting with a school academic counselor before enrolling. I did that and I was able to get many of my questions answered prior to enrolling. He was the person that warned me not to open my transcripts before turning them in. The only frustration or bad experience I have had was on registration day. The number of students registering was extremely high and caused the faculty as well as the students to feel a bit overwhelmed. I was offended by one of the faculty members when I handed her my sealed transcripts and was still asked, in a not so friendly voice, "Are these official?!"
Sorry, there are no reviews.
