The campus is clean with a brand new auditorium for theatre perfomances.

Could've Been Easier – I am happy to be starting my education. I am excited to be learning the quintessentials to a subject and health area that I am so very interested in. The road getting to this point was very windy, lots of potholes, but my motivation to get to the destination is strong.

Squeaky Tight With Assistance – wow the cost of attending this CC is wild, after fafsa I dont even have enough to get my books, no other scholarships (that I have been able to find) through or for AVC

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Right and Left Hand Not Communicating Well – it seemed to me that I would speak to one financial aide worker and get one batch of information, I would get an email requesting more action, I would go in and the other worker would look me up and say youre good, then I check my email again and again..........and so on, and so on, very frustrating, however my motivation to continue my education far outweighs that miscommunication

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I'm getting is definitely well worth the money i'm paying, I only payed one dollar last semester for 11 units. I also qualified for a grant and I got about $2,000.

I go to the learning center sometimes to get tutoring or to get help on math, but because of the budget cuts, tutoring is limited to one hour per week for general tutoring and for math there are not enough tutors, so it takes a while for an individual to get help. The library has textbooks people can use, but you can only check the textbook out for one hour at a time and you have to wait 15 minutes to check out the same book again. I don't know too much about the campus activities, but sometimes the have some type of events were they give people free food so that is pretty cool and one time I won a free shirt. I joined a few clubs on campus, I joined the science club, the physics club, and the rocket club, but it seems like the don't do much just have meeting about what they want to do, but they never really do anything with the exception of the rocket club, and the only thing we did last semester was just build one rocket.

I have not graduated yet, and I have not been to the career center yet.

Computers are usually available, the computers are not too slow, I don't know about the wi-fi, but printing cost 15 cents a page.

Wireless Access – One problem about this school is the Wireless Access. There is none. You can try to connect to the wireless router they have in the school, but it wont allow your phone to have wireless internet, but yet, your phone shows that it is connected.

I would say that there student body is what separates us from other schools. For student appreciation, they decided to put on a full carnival to show how much they appreciated us. I don't know of any school that have done that.

its overall a good school, they make us feel proud for our community to have its own college.

I like taking an online course, but interaction with professors and peers is important to me. Without that, I feel that I don't learn as well and I sometimes procrastinate.

Not Enough Hours – There is not enough time to work in the library or comp labs

Transfer Credits Are a Priority. There is not really anything that you can have a substantial major in. Just work towards an AA while doing transfer courses.

Computer Labs Are Open to Everyone. There are usually plenty of computers that are open for use and most of the time things run smoothly.

Most Things Are Present. At the moment there is not any sort of medical center, although this will change soon.

Best Choice in the Immediate Area. Antelope Valley College is a great school for people who live close to get credits for transferring to other colleges.

Great Professors – I have been lucky enough to have some really great professors that do their best to make sure we understand the material and get the best grade possible. I know there are others that do not have that goal in mind but a majority of them do.

Half and Half – Half of the student body is hard working and career oriented, the other half don't even want to be there and don't care who it affects if they slack off and drop out.

Need More Classes – If we had more classes available to us I think all the students would be much happier.
College Sophomore 2012-05-09T20:57:12Z
Computer Network – The computer avaliabilty is very good at the school , it only gets crazy around finals and mid terms which is to be execpted. The only problem is that the wi-fi doesn't work on campus which makes it hard to do a project on your own computer if you dont have internet. The computer staff isn't very friendly but if help is needed it's there for you need it.
College Sophomore 2012-05-09T20:52:47Z
Facilties Are Okay – The school has very little classes to offer and when they do have the classes needed they are taken by the people that are there just to collect their finacial ad checks. The teachers and student resources are good , its really just the lack of class space and classes avaliable.

Most of the workers here simply do not care about your schedule. All they want id for you tio get things done the way they want it, and if you cannot, then oh well.

Pretty Good – It is a relatively small school, but it offers a select group of faculty who are friendly for the most part, others may not be so much. The students are good, and some are bad. Bad as in lazy, drug abusers, etc. BUt overall I have enjoyed my time here.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
