I wouldn't really know about the oline courses themselves but i think the teachers are doing there work and aidding the students when asked.

the school is pretty spacious, well the main campus is anyway! When school first started I went over to the Lancaster campus just to see what it looked like and I have to say that I wished that I registered all of my classes to be over there. Over at the palmdale campus it is extermly tight. it almost reminds me of an old apartment building. What makes things worse is that people on the first floor smokes cigarettes with out a care so as you are going up the stairs, you get hit by the smell of cigaretts and I just dont like that. Especially considering my asthma.

the people here are pretty nice, although, it does seem as if they just want to move on to next person as quickly as possible. sometimes I might pick up an attitude from some of the workers but other than that the majority is pretty nice. (:

again I am new here but overall everything seems fine.
College Senior 2013-10-23T00:43:50Z
its okay! I mean I am kind of new here but the things I do use like the library computers and the student lounge seems to be pretty neat.

There are maps everywhere, they have brochures and flyers explaining what each office can do for the students, and when speaking to someone they are precise on where to go. Most student services are found in the same building.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Due to the area I live in, where there are tons of people on welfare, receiving financial aid can be extremely difficult. So many of these people enroll in classes just long enough to receive aid, and any other benefits they can, and then after two weeks, they drop.

The students are not very involved. Although there are plenty of clubs, not many students take interest. Because it is a community college, the age range is highly diverse.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition is okay. Units are $46, but there are also a few mandatory fees, like the student representative fee, but they don't tell you straight up.

I have never really seen much more alumni. There is a small place on the site, but it is just to donate money.
College Sophomore 2013-10-15T17:07:07Z
There is a big diversity of people, students are out-going. A lot of part-time students.

College Junior 2013-10-08T09:32:44Z
Again, for a community College in a city that no one has heard of, the resources are phenomenal! The student center is packed full of computers just waiting to be used by anyone with an ID card with use of always working computers at 15 cents a print. We have a two story library with even more computers and study rooms that students can rent for a few hours.

Computer labs are excellent at AVC, we have a few computer labs for Mac computers with state of the art technology and many more with PC computers that run really well. I've never seen a network get dropped at AVC or a printer not work. Very reliable.
College Junior 2013-10-08T09:26:17Z
I'm not completely involved in school, I just go there to learn but I have noticed that we have a good amount of activities that could keep anyone busy.
College Junior 2013-10-08T09:23:13Z
Antelope Valley College is just my hometowns community college. The teachers are wonderful, I've learned a lot in the first year of me attending. The reason on why this school is getting a B and not an A is because AVC is overrunned with dishonest students that sign up for courses just for the financial aid and then drop the classes, making this school really over populated and makes it hard to get classes like English or Bio.

I am able to work sometimes around my schedule but very hard at times to juggle, so there has been some hassles, and frustration.
College Junior 2013-10-05T03:17:39Z
Well, I was nervous and still are about taking online- classes, but I rather be in classroom so that I can have hands on training and be face to face with the teachers as well.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
