I would give them a b because most students at my school are very smart people, but they have a bad work ethic. Great people to be around, but some of them just seem lazy.

There is a wide range in academics best suited for those in Science, Math, English etc. The professors are somewhat laid back but are also helpful unless you unfortunately get a poor teacher. Classes are fine, teachers are OK, but class registration is a huge hassle. Registration is like almost "first come, first serve" which causes students to flood the system and cause mass confusion and technical difficulties when applying. Otherwise, there is tutorials meant to help you, and study rooms for your group of peers you want to study with.

Antelope Valley College is about average when it comes to Academic experience. The Workload is ,at best few, and the instructors are somewhat clueless ,overall, in teaching. It's a hassle to get the right and best teachers but it's worth it. Instructors and other faculty members are somewhat borderline good and bad when it comes to your education level. I suggest you research the teachers for your own benefit.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
This school is saving me so much money in tuition. That is one of the main reasons i decided to stay here. And the financial aid office can sometimes become overwhelmed but they try very hard to get you your money.

There are alot of working people that are taking classes to further their education. There is also a pretty good amount of people that are your age.

Some professors don't answer your emails and avoid talking to students. Others are really involved and want students to succeed. Registration takes forever because the site always crashes and kicks you out.

The track and field facilities are very new, and include a workout course for public use, which is nice. I haven't done much in the gym, as I believe you must be in a class to use those facilities, which is not so nice.

Excellent library, good computer labs, brilliant Track and Field facilities... what more could you want? There is a decided lack of student involvement, but most people are just looking to transfer anyway.

AVC recently finished work on a new building, and the computer labs there are quite nice. Internet speed and reliability is excellent. Frequently the online homework assignments which are a required part of many courses at the college are given on platforms which leave much to be desired and tend to crash on the due date.

The career center is great, but the counseling center is less than helpful. There are only a few counselors who know what they are talking about and they are located in the transfer counseling center. They will tell you what you are doing right and wrong and give you a real estimated graduation date.

We have a very wide variety of people at Antelope Valley College, but they can be quite obnoxious. There are groups of kids who seem to only hang out in the quad all day long and poke fun of kids who are actually there to learn. It seems a lot like high school sometimes. But then again, there are the people who actually care about school and are excited and nice to others.

The classes are all so different from one another and it keeps people interested in what classes they will be in each semester. I am definitely always excited to meet new people, professors, and learn new things each semester.

As an English major, I actually do get to take a variety of courses to keep myself interested. I have to take quite a few English courses that I never would want to take if I had to choose on my own but it is a good thing and keeps me interested in the different aspects of my major. I am proud to be an English major at Antelope Valley College.

They are very flexiable but you have to stay on top of things to make them work for you. Remember they are seeing you as an adult that takes care of their own responablities, so as long as you stay ahead of them it works out good for you.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education that I am getting from them is well worth my money. Alot of the resources that are provided to you as a student are helpful, if you work with them they benifit you to come out on top. Even when you are feeling when you are at yiur wits end and having problems all you have to do is ask for help and the will provide it to the bes they can. Just dont give up. And at the end you walk away with your head held high with a degree in hand.

the campus started small and with limited resources, but now as the campus grow with new buildings and more resources, students can now stay longer at campus to finish any work assign by professor, instead of going to the library or home where internet is open at any time...
College Senior 2013-01-27T01:12:50Z
so far i have been in this campus for a semester and the academic experiences for me has been extraordinary. the professors so nice as to make the class fun and hard, but best of all with great understanding. the process of the most associating materials and paperwork with the school has been understandable and alright to complete, base on being in a college with college standards.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
the financial aid is great to help many of those who go and ask for help. the problem is not having the correct requirements that blocks any students out form getting the help...
College Senior 2013-01-27T00:52:40Z
the college has many kinds of classes to help me get started with my major. i am doubling major on math and computer science. math major's classes are there to complete but for computer science, i must transfer. the great thing about this campus is that it prepares me for the major with computers classes related to my major. over all an A for the classes there is open for us students and for the professors that makes the classes hard and fun at the same time.

My major is nutrition and food but the classes avc suggests for that are useless at four year universities.

I have no complaints. Many people do have trouble getting classes because of how many people there are at the school.

I can not get any wireless access at Antelope Valley College. For the four years I have been there the computers have failed on me.

I do not have to deal with ignorant students who do not want to be in class. I can go on my own and study what I have been given without any disturbance. The classes are straight to the point and are easy to follow.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
