Save your time and money...don't go to Anthem. I have been enrolled in Anthem College Online for the past 7 months. The first two classes were good then every since then it has been nothing but stress and headache.
This college does NOT support the military or the National Guard very well. I got activated due to Hurricane Irene and the college would not work with me and failed me out of the course which lowered my GPA. So they made me retake the course and the instructor for that course somehow didn't get all my work which I turned in. I had to get technical support to log on to my computer to verify all the work was indeed turned in when it supposed to.
They do have a few good instructors and a couple were exceptional good. However some of the instructors didn't care to help or work with me.
There were also a few times I wasn't able to log on to the college online and a few of the instructors didn't seem to care and lowered my grades being that the work was a couple times turned in late due to not being able to log on.
Technical support is pretty much a joke too. Half the time there don't pick up the phone and when they do it takes literally 48 hours or so to get back to me. On their site it says they get back at you within 24 hours which is totally not true.
I am now transferring to a much better college and am so excited to start!
I would HIGHLY recommend not attending Anthem and to look else where. Always check the reviews of a college prior to attending. Take a few minutes to look through all the reviews here at Anthem and make the best choice!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Ok..first off the degree is a total waste of money....as a former employee of this joke of a college cubicle call center i felt bad after burying student 30 thousand dollars in debt that they will never be able to pay back......All this place cares about is enrolling you taking your money and screwing you over...LISTEN WHEN I TELL YOU THIS. YOU CAN GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR NOT EVEN HALF THE PRICE AND ITS REGIONALLY ACCREDITED. THIS PLACE IS A DEGREE MILL..IT HAS A NATIONAL ACCREDITATION WHICH IS WORTHLESS TO MOST SCHOOLS. Theres a 95% chance the credits wont transfer out of any of these junk degree programs. The so called Director of Admissions Is Glen is a former used car salesman who decided to get in the education business to prey on uncle sams money. All they care about is enrolling you..Ask the college will any of the credits transfer and they will tell you something from the script that keeps them in compliance with the department of ed so they wont get fined to keep getting students and enrolling them.If your going to waste 300000$ (WHICH YOU WILL PAY FOR THE WORTHLESS DEGREE) go to university of phoenix, Or find a regionally accredited school so the credits have a better chance of transferring. You will want to transfer after you find out this place is a joke...All of the students that this college preys on are minorities....people from the ghetto inner city who have not researched that this college is 100% rip off. They know your not smart enough to research this so they run tv commercials in the highly populated areas with minorties and people that are poor with criminal histories...and prey on them. I am Not a disgruntled employee by any means...I just feel bad for all the students that enroll in this rip off degree program...think there going to be a police officer business professional etc.... after enrolling in this 20 month CRAP I MEAN CRAP ASSOCIATES DEGREE for 30,000$. Looks like glen the used car salesman is winning Stay AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU WILL THANK ME LATER!!!!!!!!!! OH AND BY THE WAY NOT ONE SINGLE EMPLOYEE ACTUALLY ATTENDS SCHOOL THERE BECAUSE THEY KNOW ITS A JOKE!!!!! ASK YOUR SO CALLED ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR IF THEY ARE ENROLLED?? HAHA THEY WILL PROBABLY LIE AND SAY THEY ARE....LAST WORDS OF WISDOM..........GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!TAKE THAT GLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Experiences With Anthem Online – With online classes you are not required to sit for hours in a room listening to one person talk. Online classes at Anthem require reading assignments, recorded instruction, live lectures, responding to questions in a forum and responding to others answers to the same questions. There is only one class at a time and it last one month. Registration is fast and easy. I've only had one professor so far, but he was down to earth, readily available but email or phone, and very personable. There are forums, emails, and chat rooms for the students.

Being an Online Student – I have only been to one class so far. It is wonderful. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Each class last one month. The schedule is preselected. They're are requirements, but they are not difficult to follow. I would/will suggest to everyone who is a motivated type to go to this online school.

VERY FLEXIBLE – I do all of my classes on line so I can do them at my own pace.

I Have Learned Alot – I am taking paralegal studies. I currently work in a lawfirm and have for the last 13 years and I feel that I am being taught alot that I wouldn't learn just by interaction with other paralegals at my workplace.

Online Classes – I only attended online courses, so I did not have much interaction physically. Asynchronous learning is the norm for online classes. There are live lectures, or you can opt to view recorded ones, or none if you decide. The fact that I can log on any time of day or night and submit assignments or watch lectures if I can't sleep. I do enjoy that part a lot. The student body is highly diverse and at different levels of education. It is sometimes frustrating when a student should not be in a course if they cannot write above an eighth grade education.

Limited Perks and Social Scene – Although I attend classes online, Anthem is actively engaged in social media, and offers monthly themed trivia contests that give a gift card with money on it to the winner from a pool of students who answered correctly. Anthem updates its media sites regularly. It now offers a service to students and family members pertaining to financial, familial, legal, personal, and any other issues students or their family may be experiencing at any time during the student's enrollment at the college. Unfortunately the third-party site does not follow up on its calls, and places students on lengthy hold times and has a limited staff.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition and Learning Value – The tuition I am paying for attending this college is a bit higher than what I wanted, but at the time of registration I was under assumption that it would be the same as when I attended previously, and using the same online-learning platform. I did not receive the expected program. The learning platform had changed, the week off that used to be between each four-week course was no longer available, and the tuition was a bit higher.

Classes Online – We have a wide range of student body in my classes because our classes are online. We get students from all over the world. We get students from different races. that have different religios beliefsm different economical backgroundsm different political views, and most definitely different sexuality opinions. I think this is a awesome experience. You know the old saying "you cna't judge a book by it's cover"? Well. that is the greatthing about online studies you dont' knwo anything about the person when you meet them and start talking to them and become acquaintances with them. Most of the time you will end up becoming friends(at least this has been my experience)then that is when you start learning the personal things thatare discussed above. Any decent human being is not going to throw away a friendship not a true one that has been built on trust and confidence over these simple isssues that are stated here. Socializing may not be our first priorty but we all inyractwith one another daily so we are naturally going to get clcose and get to know one another.
At least onw or two of us out of the class.

Live Lectures – I was really nervous about switching colleges, but it turned out to be a really great thing. The best decision of my life was when I chose to come to Anthem College. The best thing about Anthem's online courses would have to be their live lectures. This is where you really get the sense of belonging and feeling like it is all real and not just a virtual atmosphere like most online schools. I know at my last school we did not have these and it seemed so fake. It didn't even seem like I was really even going to school. But now I feel like I am actually going to school and earning a degree. Thank you my Anthem Family.

Few Credits Tranferrred – i chose Anthem College because they offered the area of study that I was interrested in with a lot of flexibility and a great learning opportunity. They provide my books and software at no extra cost to me to whereat my old school I had to purchase that merchandise myself. Sure only a few of my credits transferred, but wit hthe advantages that Anthem is giving I am not going to complain. I switched what type of degree I was going after, so it is a whole new ball game anyhow. But at my previous school I was there for ober a year and a half and had taken nothing but general education courses. Here at Anthem I only have seven general education courses to take and with my two courses that are transfering I will only have five. So in my opinion that is just awesome. Another thing that is great about Anthem is they make you feel as though you are a part of a family not just a student. They seem to genuinely care about you. Them seem to really want you to succeed, to achieve your goals and dreams. they honestly do believe in you. You have live lectures at Anthem and you actually get to see your instructors and see that they are real people and you get to converse with them. Anthem really cares about their students and their success. They pride themselves on our achievements. I wouldn't want to go to school anywhere else. I am so grateful that I made the switch.
