So far within exception of having to pay out of pocket costs which they come to class and find you to make sure you know you have to pay it, majority of the people who work there are very helpful and knowledgeable about the school and its procedures.

My classes are fun and it is great to learn real world things from people who have or are currently working in the field they teach in.

College Junior 2013-01-25T21:12:34Z
It has been great only problem is some money issues where financial aid doesnt cover everything but the online school is great I am learning and communicating just like in the classroom.

Our college is a small career college located in Downtown Cincinnati. We don't have a sports team. We only have a few clubs because we don't have a lot of students. Our library is small but functional. We have access to a huge public library no more than a block away so we really don't need a large library.

The online class I took was a complete waste of time and a joke. I just stuck with it because it was a requirement in order for me to graduate. The class was supposed to be professional development, but someone forgot to tell the teacher that. For the rest of the quarter all she taught us was proper etiquette. Most of it was not even business related. A lot of it was also common sense, so much so in fact that most of the time I felt as if the instructor was insulting my intelligence.

The unique thing about my school is that it is so small that everyone knows each other; it feels more like a family than a college. The staff are all very friendly and willing to drop what they're doing at any time to help a student in need. We have several clubs geared towards helping fellow students or beautifying and improving our college. We also have a program called the "Pay it Forward" program. This is for students going through financial difficulties. For instance if a student is about to have their electricity shut off or need money for groceries, they talk to someone at the school and borrow the money. They are then free to pay it back whenever they can.

The students at Antonelli College have ample access to computers and fast internet. However, I give it an A instead of and A+ because there are times when we have network issues and it may take quite a while to get fixed. We have a Mac lab for our graphic design students (But all students are allowed to use it). We also have a PC lab, PCs in the library students can use, and PCs in our Career Services department. Not only that but after a students 3rd full quarter at Antonelli, they receive their very own laptop, which comes out of the student's tuition.

Antonelli may go several terms not offering the courses necessary for the students. When this happens, students are put into classes out of order for their prerequisites. This means that the student may have to go longer in order for the students to complete field. They may also have to switch to part time for some semesters. This can be very frustrating. They need to offer more evening classes, starting earlier. A lot of students catch the bus and the school is located in a part of town that is not good place for people leaving late at night.

The school, on an off, offer computers to the students. The computers are sub-standard. The computer lab is on the low end of the spectrum. Because of the size of the school, some classes are held in the lab which stops students from using it at times. They need more printers and better computers, along with better computer tech classes.

I believe that college is to prepare you for a goal that one has chosen to pursue in life. Some of the classes the students have to take at Antonelli have no bearing on fields that the students have chosen. The facilities at the school are not conducive to learning. The school is lodged in a historical building and the students get impression that the school cannot do much about making the building more presentable. They charge enough to build a new school, but they keep putting bandaids on the problem. Hopefully with the latest administration change things will get better.

I've seen the administration change approximately three times since I have been attending Antonelli. With each change, the instructors are getting better. They have a passion for their topics which helps students learn. Most of the instructors are working other jobs, so we get to see what it is like working in the field we choose. Some of the instructors get into or fall in office politics. Some totally shy away from them. A few of them have a love for their students, and these you can tell by listening to the student's comments about them. The instructors try to follow through on what the students need, but there are just not enough instructors at the school.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The main reason for this grade is that the tuition at Antonelli is way to high. The staff in the financial aid department points you to where information can be found, but they don't go over it in any great depth. They did offer me extra help when I reached my ceiling with incoming financial aid. I am unable to get any grants because I work full time. The time period and amount they want paid back is very hard to meet. I should be graduating soon but may be unable to walk with my class because of my financial situation. I have high hopes that we will be able to come to a solution.

There are no real student centered activities or clubs. There is an absence of any type of student advocacy group or any other athletic center. he library is also very limited.

There is a wide diversity of students and it seems that there is acceptance by all. As is expected at any university, there are those that live outside of the normal, but those people are few and far between.

We are right in the city, so bus access helps and our school location helps us for accessing new opportunities that my major will lead me too.

There are so many different type of resources that are available to every student. I feel the staff and teachers are here to help us succeed and do whatever it takes to help make our dreams come true.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
