Living on campus is a great experience that gives you the chance to get to know new people and get more actively involved in the society. The atmosphere is refreshing and full of energy not just from the environment but also from the people who live there. The cost is living on campus is average, not too good but not bad. The ease of getting to class from the buildings is also very good also. Picking housing is also easy with you getting the room you request if done correctly and on time.

The dorms are very diverse. I currently live in one of the smallest dorms. They are pretty close to classes, but it is hard to get the dorm you want.

My dorm is very nice compared to most dorms. Some of them are really small but others are really nice. It just depends on what side of campus you end up being placed. They are finally starting to renovate some of the older dorms and make them nicer.

There are plenty of dorms available, including a couple of newer ones. Some dorms are specific to a certain group like International students or ROTC students, etc. They're all very clean and so far I've experienced a wonderful community as I'm sure all of the residence halls have. Freshman are guaranteed housing, and the application process is pretty easy, although wherever you apply is never where you end up. They completely disregard personal preference. Each residence hall has at least a main lobby, kitchen, and several vending machines. There are also study rooms/lounges available.

I live in Gardner, with the smallest dorms in NC.
