Boone is very quaint. If there was a slightly larger town that would be cool, but it's awesome as is.

Despite the cold weather, this is a wonderful location to live.

there isn't much to do in Boone, especially since i was born and raised right outside of Washington, D.C. The mall here isn't even a third of the one back home, and the activities are just the movie theatre, mini golfing, bowling. theres also the parkway, which is absolutely beautiful and there are some places for hiking and camping along those trails, which is fun if you like the outdoors.

The atmosphere at App is break-taking and can be extremely nice at certain times. The weather can be on both ends of the spectrum, good some days and bad others. But it is in the mountains so it is what you would expect for the weather to be. But all in all, it is a beautiful environment and would entice anyone who is a fan of the outdoors and mountains.

My school is located in the Appalachian Mountains. It's a really beautiful place to live but there aren't many attractions or places to shop. I feel like it's fairly safe and it's a very culturally diverse and accepting place. Boone's population is primarily college students and most people are very accepting of that. We have great exercise and recreation facilities around campus.
