Health & Safety:
They Mean Well, but They Are Not as Efficient as They Could Be – Campus safety is great for escorts, or if you feel like there are problems on campus that do not concern your health. However, from personal experience-during a medical emergency they were horribly slow at reporting to the scene of the emergency and they were less than helpful at assisting in the medical crisis.

Worth Your Money – All my classes have difficult, making it worth my money. I am getting a great education.

Always Busy – It is a small school, but they have plenty of activities always going on.

Campus is too small to have transportation across it.

Health & Safety:
The security at Aquinas is very helpful. They'll escort you to parking lots and post incidents to keep people aware of any possible dangers. However, they're main responsibility seems to be ticketing parked cars. In fact that's where you'll find the security personel most of the time. Lastly, you can pretty much get away with murder on campus. As long as no one is getting hurt, they tend to turn a blind eye to avoid the paperwork. If your a partier this is ideal, but it has it's downsides.

Aquinas is a challenging school. They force you to work hard for your grades. At the same time they don't overdue it. There's plenty of time for clubs, organizations, and going nuts on the weekends. It's all about balance at Aquinas and everyone is committed to that.

Guys & Girls:
Lots of Girls – There are approximately twice as many female students at Aquinas. If your a guy then that's mostly a good thing. Girls on the other hand, you'll have to be on your game if you want to snag a guy.

Surprisingly Diverse – For a small Catholic College there's a surprising number of students who are not affiliated with catholicism in any way. Aquinas is diverse and accepting of anyone who attends school there. However, there seems to be a majority of caucasians at the school.

There are several majors that students are set up with internships as a matter of course (Business, Sustainable Business, Teaching, Social work, some sciences); but if you're not in one of those majors, you're pretty much on your own. However, if you do find one, arranging to get credit for it is relatively easy.

Not a Party Campus, Take It Elsewhere. This does not seem to be a problem, there are plenty of off-campus places to go if students need to get a little wild. The only thing I have seen strictly enforced is parking; some pretty expensive tickets are handed out.

Non-Commuter Students Travel With Ease. If you live within the city limits, it is very easy to get to campus on the bus; students are also eligible for a greatly reduced fare. I've heard it can be a trial to commute, especially in the winter. However, there is plenty of affordable housing near campus, many within easy walking distance.

If There Is One, It's Very Quiet – After two semesters, I have seen very little evidence of drug or alcohol use. Occasionally a few beer caps after a holiday.

Punishments Are Just – Aquinas is strict about underage drinking and rule breaking, but also take into effect the situation. If you get caught doing something you shouldnt you do get to talk to someone and explain yourself. You will still get in trouble but we do listen and are fair in punishments.

Our campus is pretty small, and most people live on campus so it's easy to get to class in whatever the weather. Aquinas is also great about informing students about cancelled classes due to weather.

A Is for Awesome – The scholarships at Aquinas are great and the financial aid program works extremely well in helping you afford our college. Everyone is nice and responds quickly to emails and phone calls.

Oh Wege – The dining hall on campus is not the greatest but there is good service and it's nice to sit there with friends. They do have a large variety of food and options, it's just not that tasty on some days.

It's Pretty Great – Everyone working with the dorms are nice, sometimes we have some problems with heating or water, but overall, the rooms are decent size and the bathrooms are nice.

Great Food – you can find really great food for really good prices. cause there is restaurant every where in Grand Rapids.

How to Find Great Places Off Campus for a Good Price. The availability of places off campus is great. Many places for cheap prices.

Pretty Good Housing – The housing is pretty nice and some places are the typical college style rooms. The housing for the LLC and apartment options are amazing! The other housing on campus consists of small dorm rooms that are about 12 x 12 rooms. While those are small, the people tend to socialze a lot more than the people in the apartments. Also the LLC's consist only of the group of people you live with so don't expect to meet new people unless you get of the house for some fresh air!

Health & Safety:
Safety Is Great – I've never felt unsafe when on campus grounds. Its a small campus right on the outskirts of downtown Grand Rapids with beautiful scenery. However there isn't much Campus Safety out at night so it might be a good idea to travel with a friend if you don't like being outside after sunset. Inside the dormitories; its really nice as I was able to leave my door to my dorm room umlocked everyday without the worry of theft and the people were very friendly and courtious.

Awesome Scholarship Programs – Almost every student at Aquinas has earned some form of a scholarship based on their academic and leadership roles. These scholarships have been a huge assistants throughout my education.

The computers in the labs and the libraries work great for anything you need to accomplish. However the ones randomly placed throughout the campus only allow internet access.

Aquinas has a large variety of students from all over the country. We have students from every different type of background which makes me a great campus.

Many Clubs – There are a lot of clubs and bars to choose from. However the buses do not run all night long so it's best if you have a designated driver at hand. This can be inconvenient if you do not know anyone who is willing to give you a lift.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
