I must say that the classes I have taken so far to me is everything that I was expecting in becoming a Mortician. I have not had a moment of where I did not want to get online and want to learn more about my major. I feel that I am gaining more and more knowledge everyday from Arapahoe.

Face to Face – I was nervous first starting out at Arapahoe just because I am from Kansas and did not know how everyone around reacts to what I might say in discussions. I speak my mind and I do not hold back what so ever. I feel that as time passed I was fitting right in with the ones that have grew up in Colorado their whole life. Now if I walked into an actual classroom I have no idea what I would do.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Get Everything Done as Quickly as Possible – I am getting my dream education for what I am paying. I wish that I had recieved more financial aid, though. I recieved less than half of my cost of tuition. Also I do wish that the class times were a little better to correlate, so that I am able to attend two full days as to the four partial days I am registered for.

Campus Life – Campus life is great there is always something to do the staff is always involved with something and allows the students to participate sometimes for extra credit toward a grade. The shows and concerts put on to the school is amazing work and they always have some sort of activity going on weekly

Manage Time – I was nervous about taking an online class, but once I figured out how to manage my time I liked them very much. It is nice to not have to sit in a classroom and the amount of work is similar to an on-campus class.

Delay in Grading – SOme of the teachers have a significant lag time in grading.
There have been required discussions at scheduled times. Not good for online students who need flexibility.

Teacher Made It Easy – I was nervous at first because I have heard that online classes are harder then normal classes. When I first started it was almost too much stuff and it stressed me out at the beginning but the teacher made it simple by setting out lists of what we should of have done for that week. The teacher made us also become involved by creating discussions and the discussions were very interesting and fun. I would recommend online to anyone at my school and made it worth my money.

ACC has good "intensions" but are behind the times when it comes to assigning "the proper educated staff" in their Advising Dept. to educate students on the best career path to take in today's current economic climate. They could definately do some "work" on the appearance of the school itself as well. It looks like a prison. Make it more inviting.
