The sports at Arcadia University help bring the school more together. The games are great events for the school to attend and we have a decent school spirit. However, being that we are a very small school, we don't have a large fan base. This year our fans began to grow however due to the increase in sports teams qualifying for playoffs.

They give decent financial aid, but most of the scholarships are based on merit. I received a scholarship that pays for almost half of my tuition every year, plus another small one for my writing scores on the SATs.

When you enter Arcadia, you will be bombarded with presentations and assemblies on the dangers of underage drinking, but I have yet to hear anyone get in trouble for it. For the most part, Arcadia treats everyone like adults with the ability to make their own decisions.

Freshmen housing definitely has its flaws. With all of the key swipes that exist between the outside world and your hall, you certainly feel safe. However, most freshmen halls are pretty tough to navigate, and maintenance does not clean the bathrooms very well (in Thomas, at least).

Glenside is a quiet town and very small. Our school IS the area's attraction, as you can see by the surplus of Arcadia signs lining the streets. Despite the lack of excitement, however, there is a farmer's market every Saturday, there are some pretty good small businesses, and the train station makes Arcadia and Glenside just a hop away from Philadelphia.

Most of the off campus housing is expensive and hard to find since it is in the surrounding area of Philly.

Guys & Girls:
There are many people at Arcadia. They have some jocks, some artsy people, and some nerdy people. They all come from different backgrounds and places.

The classes here are very helpful but can be very tricky to some people. the professors are all very kind and willing to help you. Arcadia also offers tutors that are willing to help you with whatever you my need.

It is not that hard to get into my forensics program in order to qualify you have to make sure your gpa is at least a 3.2 in your desired major.

I am more than pleased with the forensic program that I am currently in. Once I get my Chemistry degree my program allows me to go right into Forensics so I can get my Masters.

I do not have an internship currently but I plan on getting one in the future. Arcadia is well known for getting students jobs through there internship programs.
College Sophomore 2013-03-21T20:16:37Z
Great internships are available because the professors help in the process

Arcadia is one of the most highly diverse universities in the country.

Business is a quality major but not a focused major at AU. It's an easier work load but the information covered and the professors are strong

Very slow to log onto but they aren't terrible and aren't completely out of date.

The academics at Arcadia University are very good in certain fields. Most professors care about their students and the smaller classes create a good learning atmosphere.

Guys & Girls:
Everyone seems to be really friendly and easy to talk to boy or girls, they're all different, but in general it seems like everybody's open and civil to each other. Though sometimes it can seem a little cliquey for weekend events.

They are a school that is determined to help you come to school. They are always willing to help you out with anything you need and to get you the aid you could need. They pre-screen you after you enroll!

Good parking, nice amounts of buses and the train's close.

The University Commons is a brand new building that has quickly become the center of student life on campus. There's a game room on the 2nd floor with a lot of places to relax with friends, and the bottom floor has a fireplace lounge used for club gatherings or studying along with a small restaurant called The Chat in the opposite corner. The library is very big and has most everything you need for your studies.

The freshman dorms were overly crowded for my first year at a new school. It was impossible for my roommate and I to transfer to different dorms, even though we had really bad problems living together. It you get along with your roommates though the dorms can be nice, especially if you're not in a forced triple. The upperclassmen dorms are great, and you have the option to live off campus so it feels like you're starting to be 'off on your own' without actually paying for apartments.

The public transportation is like any other, the stop is close to school. But they now offer a program where you can rent a car on campus but I am not sure how that works.
College Junior 2013-02-25T04:39:51Z
There is not many good choices, and they run out often.
College Junior 2013-02-25T04:38:09Z
The lottery system is complicated, but the dorms are pretty nice.
College Junior 2013-02-25T04:37:02Z
They are good, and it is always a good atmosphere at the games.
