Argosy University - Chicago Summary

I enjoy being able to work and study on my own time as I have a young child and he requires most of my time and energy. At first I struggled because I was less disciplined, but now I am finding it very easy to obtain a 3.8 or higher in my classes. You save money on gas by not commuting to a campus. You must learn time management which is essential to being successful in online classes. The only thing I miss is the community involvement and getting to know my peers and teachers on a more interpersonal basis. You can ask your online instructors anything, but it may take them awhile to get back to you. Nothing beats being in the classroom and being able to ask your professor questions on a specific subject while it is being covered.

I would assume that most students are able to maintain a decent grade even with school and family as teachers are really understanding to this, but also students in an online school must be really disciplined. It can be chaotic having a class every five weeks, but the ongoing engagement in classes keeps the brain working and fresh. You begin to get into a routine that makes life a little easier, as assignments are always due on the same days and a ‘module’ always begins and ends on the same days.

Good experiences overall. They always get me what I need and help me out when I ask.

Online classes are have been a great learning experience and very flexible in my work schedule.Online classes have been fun and enjoyable. The affordability is reasonable. The interactions with other students have been very productive in class support. The financial aide and academic support has been wonderful. The resources I have access to, makes it possible to help you understand and learn in each class.
