I chose this school because of its proximity to my home and work. Unfortunately I was not able to get all the classes I wanted. Due to the classes filling up fast, I have to take what ever course is available at the time. I attended another school before transferring here and had more flexibility with course selections. But overall the academic integrity of the coursework is challenging and produces thoughtful discussion topics among classmates and instructors.

I absolutley loved my academic experience. If I did not receive the information and curriculum that I did, I would not be trying to further my education. Going through the education system and the programs provided, I feel very confident in what I can accomplish in the working world.

Due to the networking, students tend to find good resources. Usually when a student chooses to do a field work observation project that builds career motivation and some are chosen to come back to fulfill what they have started. Otherwise, the dean of the major a student is enrolled in gives great resources.

There are many types of professionalism within Argosy University. It is easy to network well between the students and facilitators. If you are a graduate student, it is well worth showing professionalism to the undergraduates, just to give them a sense of what to look for in their future career goals.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The amount of money for tuition is used at its best interest within the field of study for many students. The financial aid department trys to the best of their ability to work with you as much as they can.

I am getting a good education here at Argosy University, and I have not had any problems with the way the school is run and operated. All my counselors are very helpful, and so is the head of Undergraduate Studies. However, I did run into problems with an Instructor Pavlik. He was not timely with his responses to my questions, and he marked me way down on one assignment for not having a title page when the grading rubric did not call for one, so I was pretty upset about that. However, that is not a reflection of the school, it is a great school that is focused on your learning and your earning a degree. I am very satisfied with my schooling so far.

I thought that it would be very difficult to adjust to having online classes, but it was a really easy transaction. The online tech support is very useful if there are any issues, and the school does a good job of warning you ahead of time when the site will be down. I am also glad that there are no tests to take and just essays and discussions, this makes my life much easier! I enjoy their system and it would be difficult to go back to any other form of taking classes now.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Pay Attention. Financial aid at Argosy is a lost cause. No one really knows what their doing. and if they do happen to know what they are doing they are going to do it wrong 3 times first. All I can suggest is pay attention and ask questions and if it sounds like they are wrong second guess them.

Slow but Functioning. It is slow but it works. There are usually available lap computers, or it is easy to log on with your laptop to the network. There is no way to print color but printing isn't a problem other than that.

I can't think of anything that sets Argosy apart. They seem to be the same as every other private school out there.

Based on What It Is. It is a private school so you can't expect a lot but with the amount it costs you would think it would be better. Computers are out of date but readily accessible, online only books seem to be costing almost the same as book store books with all the technology fees they charge. The building has no campus atmosphere either, I feel like I am going to work when I enter the building. The student center was helpful at least.

A Whole New World. In that I am a senior citizen returning to school I was not entirely prepared as far as my knowledge of computers. There was a lot that I needed to learn. It's been going well so far however I did struggle with math online. Next semester I'll take an in class course for this subject.

Happy to Be Back – Initially I was intimidated by the necessity for being computer savvy. After a while I got more and more comfortable and savvy with the computer. I would say that overall I am very satisfied with my choice of school. It is very near my home, about ten minutes. Parking is very accessible and the school has adequate security.

I have seen students ages 22-64. There is a wide array of ethnicity at Argosy. Small and large groups congregate daily for personal-group study. Classroom dynamics are optimal.

Overall Rating – The one thing I loved about argosy is that accepted almost all of my credits from another university when I transfered in mid-degree. the professors are awesome, I have not yet had one professor that has not helped me understand the material. overall this is a very good university, and I wish I had started my degree here fist, becasue the other university was a waste of my fed funding since they were not leading me in the right direction, once I called Argosy they put me on the right path for the proper degree, they were honest and did not speak in circles.

It is nice to hear opinions from different students all over the nation and their backgrounds as well. It is very accessible to be able to complete discussions and assignments online.

Faculty Availability – The teachers are always available to answer any of your questions. Material is both discussed in class and available online, which is very convininent. The hassles I have encountered were that they do not offer enough criminal justice courses and the financial aid workers rarely or late respond to calls or emails I send them.

I like that the courses are online, very convinient when you work full time. In my criminal justice courses, I like that the teachers who are teaching have actually worked in the field or are currently still in the field, sharing the perspectives and experiences with the class both online and at the campus.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I am going to school to get my Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice, I believe that going to Argosy and the money I'm paying will be worth it in the long run. Financial aid was able to cover my expenses but only if I go part time, I was not advised this when I first enrolled and now I have to pay money out of my pocket to cover the rest of my tuition for going full time. If i don't pay it before the end of the next quarter I will not be able to continue my education at Argosy until I pay it off.

The Inside Scoop for Argosy University – Argosy University has several things that make them different from other schools I have attended. The classes are very small and the professors take there time to help you and make sure that you are doing well on the assignments you turn in. They allow you to show them the assignment before the due date, so they can revise it and make corrections if needed. I think that this helped me get a 4.0 my first quarter.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
