Argosy has a open door policy, where if you need help, or have a question about a lab or homework, someone will be able to assist you. The school also has many tutoring services, online or on campus.

If it were based on just aesthetics, argosy would get an A+! The library is very small but the selection is good. Students also have access to the major university in town. The school is on a very intimate and cozy level, the classroom sizes are small and the people are very friendly, And the staff is out of this world!

Onlinen course are great, the circumstances under which a student choose to take an online course may impact the experience. I prefer the ground classes with more interaction with the professor.

My major is great. I enjoy the field and look forward to practicing all that I have learned.

Finding work after graaduation was not difficult. Finding a professor who knows you and can provide a good reference was a concern. However, I ams still thankful for the education/career opportunity the school has provided.

There needs to be more interaction with the professors online, such as required conference calls.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education is worth the money, but it is still a lot of money. Most appointments with the financial advisor are productive and she is very helpful and is willing to work with students who are struggling to pay their tuition.

I am a Clinical Psychology major and it is everything I thought it would be. Graduate school is a lot of work, but it is worth it. It requires many hours spent outside of the classroom for all the projects and assignments that you have to complete for each class, but it is worth it. There are three practicums that you have to go on and then an internship your 5th year in the program. It is a great opportunity to be in this program.

There is a computer lab, printers, and a xerox machine available to students. However, there are sometimes issues with the school having enough ink or enough paper to supply for everyone. You don't need a personal computer, as the lab or the computers in the library are almost always available for use.

Doesn't Seem Actively Helpful – I am still enrolled in school, so I not 100% sure on this one. The school's website has a link to a job board and you can apply to jobs through the portal. However, it does not seem as though they actually set you up with jobs and interviews. However, there maybe some kind of relationship between the companies that post their jobs and the school.

Classes Are, Mostly, Interesting – I am a Psychology major and I find my classes to either be interesting and informative or boring and repetitive. Some classes contain information that I already studied or already knew or barely expanded on what I already knew. There are classes that are just straight up information, no challenge and nothing interesting. Other classes are surprisingly informative, with challenging and new information. The workload is intense and can be overwhelming if you do not stay on top of it.

Professors Take Awhile to Respond, Students Are Expected to Be Almost Completely Independent – Academics are top notch, comparable to any great four-year university. Dually accredited with regional and national organizations. Work load is above that of a traditional class setting. Less test, more written assignments and essays. Lots of chances for verbal interaction with students and teachers. No face to face interaction. Teachers comment on work turned in, via a message reply, directly to the assignments submitted. Basically, students need to check in every day, several times a day, if they want to know if anything is wrong or missing.

My Future Is Looking up – Currently, I am enrolled in the online version of Argosy University, my home campus is Tampa,Fl. In general, Argosy U is a good school. I like that I can take classes online and still feel like I am getting a decent education. The classes move fast and cover alot of material, in a short amount of time. Some professors are really good at teaching alot of important information, during the short classes. Other teachers teach are better at teaching a small amount of important information in this short period of time. Some teachers are very strict with policies and procedures, while others are not. The administrative staff is nice, but sometimes hard to get a hold of. They do not seem to want to communicate by email to discuss different items, which is annoying if you can't always get to the phone during their office hours. I am really unhappy with the fact that they have no academic or financial support staff on weekends. The people they do have on staff are not able to help you with those topics, which seems like a waste of time, money, and staff. The school is very expensive and does not provide direct help with internships and jobs.

The blended courses and teachers make the school a great compliment for a returned student.

Academic Program – The academic program of having the classes blended is great and the teachers they have are exceptional. I really like this school.

Argosy University-Tampa – Every student is there to learn, not just go thru the motions of going to school. We all enjoy having class together, and learning from each others experiences. I enjoy the smaller comfortable setting that I get at Argosy University, as opposed to the huge class sizes I was in, while I attended a state university for my undergraduate degree.

Argosy University-Tampa – Argosy University in Tampa is a great place to learn and get to know the staff. I am in the process of getting my masters degree, and the classes are paced perfectly so that I don't get overwhelmed, and the staff make themselves available as much as possible, and truly want students to succeed. The school itself is small and comfortable, which makes it easy to remain focused. An entire floor is dedicated to resources strictly for students, so that really helps students stay on top of things

Very Diverse – When i first started at my school the female to male ratio was maybe 80:20, however, overtime more and more men have become a part of our student body. This is a very diverse school and even some of the courses we offer encourage knowledge of other cultures.

Best for the Full Time Worker and/Or Parent – My school is a great choice working students. I have a full time job and am able to take as many or as little classes as I have time for. Classes are available on campus and online, so if you need to you can take them at home. My school also does its part for the community, we sponsor and hold lots of food and school supply drives. As far as social scenes, even though most of the students only come for classes, my school finds small ways to celebrate by having luncheons and parties. There are even tables set up throughout the year with different handouts about whats new and goodies for student appreciation.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Start Early – While I believe my education is well worth the money, the process to get the money is quite the headache. The key is to try and get the needed information in on time or even early. In my experience even when I turned in information early I was always turned around and asked for even more information which made getting funds even harder. Eventually though, I end up with the funds i need, I just wish it wasn't such a hassel.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
