The student body is very diverse and people are respectful of one another. It is great to see classes with people who just graduated high school and others who are well into their 50's. People seem to feel comfortable being themselves because everyone is very accepting.

There are a variety of students in terms of age, experience, and background even in a small cohort. Diversity is quite accepted and a part of the curriculum.

The computer lab is always open when I need it. I don't like that students must bring their own paper to print from the computers. The network is reliable and fast most of the time.

The library has an extensive collection of valuable resources on campus and online. The student lounge is a great place to relax or study. There are several student-run organizations to get involved in.

I have not utilized or heard about these services to give a sufficient response.

The doctoral clinical psychology program is extremely rigorous but completely worth it. It's a huge workload, but that's what I expected and what I signed up for so I'm not complaining. Students are well prepared for examinations and internships by going through this program.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition is very high with little aid available. Then again, that's expected from a for-profit school. The high quality of the school is reflected the cost. The financial aid process can be a hassle. There are a lot of forms and appointments in the process and even the administration gets confused by it.
College Freshman 2013-08-07T21:13:26Z
The professors are helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and want students to succeed. The academic rigor suits the needs of the program and students. The class registration process always has problems. The problems are usually resolved by contacting professors or the administration directly but it would be a lot easier if the online process worked in the first place.

The Career Services at Argosy University is great! They have job openings all over the Twin Cities for your specific field of study. I get emails once a week saying recent job postings. It is very helpful and easy to find a job through the Career Services.

I have never taken an online course until I started attending Argosy. The online courses are very straight forward and easy to understand. The navigation is very simple. The discussions are a great way to interact with other students. Every online course I have taken has been great. The professors are always there to help and if you have a question, they reply very fast. The workload tends to be a little higher because I have been taking the five week courses.

So far while I have been attending Argosy University, I have not used the computer labs often. The one hassle about the computer lab is that we have to bring our own paper if we want to print something off. It makes sense so that paper is not wasted, but I do not have my own paper to bring.

I would say there are two significantly unique feature about Argosy University. One is being able to deal with live animals for class. Many times, people learn things out of a textbook in a classroom. At Argosy, we get to have labs and demonstrate techniques we need to know on animals. Another unique feature is our SCNAVTA program. It is students coming together to do volunteer work around the community. I think SCNAVTA is very beneficial to students because it helps them do work for their community and meet great friends.

My major is becoming a Veterinary Technician at Argosy University. The classes I am taking to complete my major are everything I thought they would and more. I am getting tons of hands-on experience with real animals rather than just learning everything out of a textbook. The workload is not extreme and I think it is very reasonable.

My experience at Argosy had been great. I haven't had many difficulties there. I think the faculty is helpful and caring. I came from a community college and I had a few credits I wanted transfered. The transfer process was simple and easy, but it was unfortunate I could not transfer all of my credits. The convenience of class schedules is extremely helpful in my busy life.

I would say Argosy has a good variety of different ethnicities and religions. The one thing that I have noticed is that the student body mostly consists of women. There are all types of age groups attending Argosy, but I mostly notice many women around campus.

I absolutely love attending Argosy University. I have never had a problem with scheduling classes. They have a wonderful tutor center where I can get extra help on every module of the classes I am taking. I have had an amazing experience with my professors. I previously went to a community college and found that the professors hardly even cared about my education. At Argosy, the professors are concerned with my grade and want to do anything it takes to make me succeed. In one circumstance, I was struggling with a certain module and my professor sat me down and suggested I went to see the tutor for a few hours because she really wanted to make sure I understood the subject before our midterm test. I thought that she really went the extra mile and wanted to set me up for success. I think the curriculum is set perfectly so that students learn everything in a productive order. The workload is never too much for myself to handle, and besides school, I have two jobs. I love the SCNAVTA program because it really lets students become more involved in the community and you can meet some really great people! Overall, I have had a wonderful time attending Argosy!

Overall, the student body in my program (PsyD Clinical Psychology) is accepting and very interested in diversity (as our training/profession often requires it). The student body in my program has a majority of Caucasian, young adult, able-bodied students. The program has been working toward increasing the diversity, and it has been increasing in the last four years, but the average student with the resources to attend graduate school in the school's community tends to be Caucasian.

I did not have any credits to transfer but some of my classmates had difficulties with it. The professors in my program are often flexible and accommodating. Argosy the university is rarely flexible or accommodating.
College Junior 2013-07-28T15:33:10Z
My program (Clinical Psychology - PsyD) does not do online courses. We have had one class online due to lack of qualified teachers in the state, social psychology, and it okay compared to online classes I had in undergraduate. The professor was qualified but the course material would be better addressed in person. Again, my program is NOT supposed to be offered online, so that is why I did not rate it.

I have not used career services much yet. They do offer to proof cover letters and CVs for students, offer learning seminars to improve skills, and practice interview sessions.
College Junior 2013-06-02T22:54:38Z
PsyD in Clinical Psychology is very stressful. It involves a lot of commitment, in time, finances, and social support. I believe my training is amazing and have received wonderful compliments in comparison to students from similar programs in the area. It is not easy, but I believe the work is worth it.

Argosy is a professional school where all students commute, so many traditional facilities are unnecessary. We have a small library, with access to many online databases and interlibrary loan options. We have a coffee shop/cafe and a small bookstore. There has been talk about fitness equipment in the future, but nothing yet. There are few campus activities, but this is to be expected.
College Junior 2013-06-02T22:50:16Z
Argosy is a small campus. We have one real computer lab with several computers, a good amount of computers in the library, and a few in the graduate student lounge. Printing can be difficult as there are only a handful of printers and we have to bring our own paper, but we have access to many useful computer programs essential to my program. Wireless can be really good or weak. I'd recommend having your own computer and printer, but augmenting it with campus resources. We also only have a few tech support employees, but they always appear available when I have needed support.

This is a professional school so there is limited facilities, activities, and campus life. My school emphasizes practica experiences, attending seminars/conferences, and other ways to augment learning. My programs is lacking in the availability of research participation, as the emphasis is on training clinicians not researchers, but some additional opportunities would make students more competitive for internship applications.
College Junior 2013-06-02T22:42:20Z
My classes, training, and opportunities have been wonderful. The school had some administration problems, and have had a lot of faculty turn-over. Our new department chair seems to be turning things around and making many positive changes.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
