So far my experience online has been a positive one. The online site is self explanatory and whenever I have had questions the school staff has been very helpful.

A lot of students seem to actually care about what they're going to school for. It motivates you to come to class and do your best too.

They are very helpful when it comes to searching for a job. They didn't exactly help me find my job, but they were very knowledgeable.

I have not taken an online class personally for just the very reasons above. The unique features workload professor student relation relationship and peer to peer interaction.

The student body is made of mostly white non-Hispanic students. Many are working full time working for their under graduate or graduate degrees. Some are going back to school after raising children.

The campus is small and quiet. This will be my first semester on Februaary 14.From what I see it is calm not hetic, everyone seems to be getting their needs met. The student center and the library equip you well, you are provided with all the tools needed to efficiently study.

I have a learning disability. The university was very helpful. I was able to receive the assistance I needed to succeed.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid department has been both helpful and imformative.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
This school is very expensive. Aside from tuition I have paid $800 for books. You are required to wear scrubs, have a name tag from the bookstore and an armband for the cords from the machine. Also your internship could require you to move out of state for a semester, and you are responsible for the expenses. You do get a good quality of teaching and hands on work before your last semester internship. Be sure to apply for financial aid, grants and scholarships early.

The instructors are very passionate and want you to succeed. They make themselves very available to help you with anything you don't understand or need help with. The workload is tremendous. The campus consists of vet tech, business, sonography, rad tech, psych etc. so many of these fields are very demanding and require that you spend a lot of time outside of class studying, completing projets and working in the lab. Be prepared to be very busy with school every day. Registration is easy enough, while you can do it online it can be a little confusing and is easiest to have an advisor do it for you. Look ahead online to see whats available and what times and days you want to be in school first.

I have had experience with online courses prior to taking them at Argosy so even if I wasn't immediately familiar with the layout it was easy to figure out. Online classes can be overwhelming if you are not a very organized student. As you are responsible for teaching yourself in many aspects of online courses, and staying on top of assignment due dates tests etc. can be forgotten if you also have time-consuming on campus classes. Each instructor is different, I have found that some have very easy classes and some are time consuming and difficult to do on your own. There is online tutoring however, and instructors usually respond quickly to e-mails or questions posted in the ecampus.

The campus library has many available resources, books, scholarly journals, and on online database that can be accessed off-campus. There are computer labs available for students to use. The campus focuses on academics and moving forward through your program quickly, they offer organizations and groups related to programs but there is not much offered for athletics. The on campus labs are very high tech and use up-to-date technology that students will experience in the workplace.
College Senior 2012-12-13T17:38:46Z
There is a computer lab with printer (you just bring your own paper) and another set of computers for use in the library. They have a secured wireless network which allows you to use your laptop if you prefer that over the lab computers (you must be a student or employee of the campus in order to gain access to the internet). There are several classes that are completely online, some blended (on campus and online) and on campus classes that require you to have computer access. Many instructors with on campus courses lecture from power points, which are most helpful if you print them off ahead of time on paper, or bring in your own computer to access them during class and add your own notes.

It is a small campus with small class sizes. You get personal attention from your instructors and they are dedicated to helping you succeed. They have their own labs right on campus to practice your skills both in class and on your own time. The schooling can be expensive if you don't get the financial aid needed to cover tuition. One thing I do not like is that many classes use e-books which you automatically pay for, requiring you to use a computer to access your book. Long hours of reading and note-taking can be very difficult from a computer screen.

The instructors are amazing. They're smart and well educating in the field because they have direct experience. They give you multiple ways to contact them, including email, phone numbers, and sometimes even good numbers to text them. The workload is very rigorous, but this is to be expected. Study, study, study! And if you have questions, ASK! Never skip over anything because it will always come back to haunt you. The tests go very smoothly, mostly because the instructors tell you exactly what you should focus on and what you can skip as well. I'm enjoying this program very much.
College Senior 2012-10-31T18:41:26Z
When you sign up for a specific program, you take core classes that directly correlate to what you need to know once you get out of school and look for a career. When you're in a certain program, you're able to bond efficiently with your classmates because you're all learning the same things. This makes the learning process a lot better.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I feel that this school is very expensive compared to another school I've gone to. Argosy is about $500 a credit which can really add up fast. I've had to take out student loans so far for each semester. This is, however, the first school I've encountered where the instructors have actually worked in the field that they're also teaching in. It's very nice to have teachers with first hand experience. They know exactly what to teach you. Don't expect to get your financial aid or loan money even if you've filled out the FAFSA ahead of time. Their grants/loan dept. drags its feet when it comes to getting your aid. That would be my biggest complaint.
College Senior 2012-10-31T18:36:14Z
The wireless internet is very fast and efficient. It's also very easy to log in to - you have to be a staff member or a student to do so. No complaints at all, I'm even able to readily access anything with my phone as well.
College Senior 2012-10-31T18:33:54Z
This is a very small campus. However, since class sizes are small, it's easier to learn and find your way around. They have a small, quiet commons room area on the main floor and also a caribou coffee. I have yet to visit the library, but it is always staffed with professionals and any time we had needed technical support - whether it be at 8am or 7pm, someone is always readily available. The only price you have to pay for printing is to buy your own ream of paper which is relatively cheap. All of the staff members are knowledgable in what they teach and the area of the school they work in. I really do love this school.
College Senior 2012-10-28T16:35:09Z
Everyone is very friendly and helpful at Argosy. If you have a question, just ask anyone...they can either answer the question or know who to send you to.
College Senior 2012-10-28T16:34:19Z
The computers are readily available. The tech team is awesome.
College Senior 2012-10-17T22:43:50Z
From everything I have heard, and people who have graduated from Argosy, the career center really helped them find their job and did a lot for them. When I have gone into the career center they have always been helpful and informative.
College Senior 2012-10-17T22:41:26Z
The library is great! Though small, the online portion of it makes for the physical lack of book at the school. Every once and a while there is an appreciation day for a group (for example last week was for vet techs) and everyone really has a great time learning and eating free food!
College Senior 2012-10-17T22:38:38Z
The computers are all up to date and work well, and there are always extra computers open for use. However, it is necessary to bring your own paper if you want to print anything, and the printers have problems a lot of the time.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
