I live on campus so parking for me isn't too bad. I just walk to class. but I do know that some of my friends have struggled to get a parking spot.

So far loving living in the dorms. It's different than life back home but I'm happy to be living with new people.
College Sophomore 2012-11-29T05:04:06Z
As far as I can tell we're pretty diverse but I only just starting going here.

It is almost non existent, however it is not hard to find a group of people that consistently get together and make their own. Although the school polices behavior pretty strictly, students will always find a way to circumnavigate those rules.

Strict is an understatement. In being a private university, Arizona Christian has the freedom to police who you invite to your dorms, what pictures you put on your facebook, and the language you use.

Work very hard with a church or non profit organization to get sponsored in the form of scholarships. The school offers a decent amount of opportunities to pay for tuition this way.

Guys & Girls:
People are generally very kind and are just like any other college students. Most guys are athletes since the school is small yet it has many sports teams. Most girls are musicians for the same reason: it has several music programs. People from out of the state soon realize that in Arizona you must dress light so there are certain visual perks that come with this.

I am in the Biblical Studies major at ACU. It is a phenomenal program and I am challenged every day not only at school, but also in social life with others because of what I have learned. Because this program has challenged me, I can now challenge others to think critically about relevant topics in our culture.

The nightlife at our school for the most part seems pretty fun. There are no parties or bar/club scenes. Because it is a Christian college, it is a little difficult to find students who want to have a nightlife because some students have been super sheltered their entire life. None the less the night life is still fun and the activities are great.

I do not live on campus, I am a commuter. Although I do not live on campus, I do participate in a few students led activities on campus that have connected me with students who do live on campus. Dorms seem nice and social atmosphere is great! Cost seems very expensive.

I think our school needs to stop raising tuition and spending the money on "free" Ipads for currently enrolled and incoming students. I think rather the tuition should not be raised, and if raised there should be more scholarships involved rather than free Ipads!

Doing the Best for What They Have. It's not currently a huge campus, though they use the space very efficiently. Parking fee's are cheap, but sometimes you have to park along the neighboring side street which is still very close to campus.

It's Phoenix AZ. Sunny all day every day! It does get very warm, but that has never effected any event or sport.

Fast Growing Major Support – Just into into more NCAA stuff this year. Lots of scholarships towards athletes, transfers and freshman alike. Baseball, Basketball, and volleyball are the big ones right now, as they have the immediate facilities for those. Golf just took off this semester, and they are looking for more.

Guys & Girls:
All Over – The guys and girls at are school are all over the map. You have jock guys who try and get with all the girls they can and these are most of the athletes. Then you have guys who don't care much for that and are there to find a Christ-loving wife. The same applies to the girls. Where it gets messy is how often people find themselves on both sides or in-between these to extremes.

Love It...But – Love the school and what they are about. The teachers there are absolutely amazing for the most part and do a great job with students. One down side is that the school seems much more worried about growing in recognition and athletic stature then the students who actually attend the school.
College Senior 2012-08-05T07:59:38Z
You'll Hear About It – ACU's drug/drinking problem is something you hear about, not something you see regularly. The most you hear about it comes from the athletes on campus who are engaged in that life style.

You'll Actually Learn – Clasroom sizes are small which means that interaction is better with the professor. Workload is not overbearing because teachers make learning fun. The facilities are immaculate with everything centrally located.
College Senior 2012-07-27T02:48:51Z
Just Keep Looking – Since the university is quite small, the parking lot is bound to be small as well. The worst time to find a parking space is early morning at about 8:30am since that is the first class the majority of the students choose to take. If the driver does not get there fifteen minutes before, they will need to continue looking for other space.

Phoenix Sunshine...'Nuff Said – The weather in the Valley is gorgeous. It's warm all winter and outdoor activities are available all but a few days during the schoolyear. When it does rain, people go outside to dance in it because it is such a rare and exciting occasion. When the temperature hits the sixties, we all pull out our scarves and winter boots to wear with our t-shirts. It's the most beauitful place to go to school!

So Many Options! Arizona Christian University is close to many of the great and unique dining places in Phoenix. From authentic ethnic restaurants, to streetside cafes and every fast-food place out there, you'll never have to look hard for a good place to eat.
Recent Alumnus 2012-06-06T18:20:32Z
If It's Happening, It's Underground – There are strict no-drugs/no-drinking/no-smoking rules on-campus, so it is very controlled. I know some of these activities still take place, but when they are discovered, disciplinary action is taken and the students involved are provided with faculty accountability to stop these habits.
