As an English major there are a lot of internships around campus and off that will help me for when I graduate. I do plan on interning over the summer back at home. I think it isn't what I'd say is hard to find an internship. I think it's more about how badly you want something and what is required from you. My only concern about finding an internship is that being a writer is something a lot of people want now and days. So the amount of internships available to me is quite surely limited.

There are times when it seems like there is a lot of work thrown at you. But when you think about it and remember this is college everything just falls into to place. I do enjoy being a English Literature major. I think in all majors there are some downfalls and it wouldn't be right to say that this one didn't acquire any. The workload for an English Literature major can sometimes give off the impression to being stressful simply because you have to take multiple English courses at the same time. But it prepares you for the real world, when you get a job many things are expected of you. There are many different internships you can obtain from this school and it can seriously help you get your foot in on the jobs you wish to follow.

I attend ASU at the Polytechnic campus so I am out in East Mesa. I have always found it safe here, even moving from a small town in Ohio. ASU tries to schedule activites for students that welcome interation around campus and do a pretty good job of it. Weekends are not always too busy. Not really around any big city area, but there is a nice sized mall (San Tan Mall) that is fun to go to and where I spend a decent bit of time on weekends.

Recently raised prices for parking to ridiculous prices. Other than that, transportation between campuses is very good and provided in costs. No late night bus though and service stops on weekends equals very inconvenient.

I do not live on campus, and I have only actually visited the school about five or six times but parking has usually never been a problem. The visititors parking is reasonably priced and abundant and if you park off campus, it is easy to find an unoccupied space.

Arizona State University has many majors to choose from. I am very fortunate to be attending a university with the number one online program for my major.

There is always something to do or someone new to interact with. There are lots of activities.

Drug use happens but the visibility and peer pressure is very low.

There are plenty of computers for public use on campus, but they do tend to be a bit slow. The internet is not available in some basement classrooms, but our internet provider is working on that. Printing on campus is easy, though many places charge 10 cents per page. Wireless network is available everywhere except some basements and reaches across the entire campus. I've never had a problem getting service on my laptop.

There's some place for everyone on campus, and there's many place that everyone can enjoy. There are dedicated buildings for each interest, and athletics and arts facilities. I have never had need to go anywhere off campus for anything but groceries and recreational shopping.

The dorms and dining hall at the Barrett Honors College are known for being the best on campus, and they are exceptional. The other dorms on campus are not bad by any means, but they are pretty standard. Sometimes there's one hall that always smells faintly of cheese in Palo Verde, or the building in Hayden with a knack for fire alarms, but each building is catered to the majors they cater too and have resources for every student. The dining halls are well stocked and clean, though the food in the main hall Pitchforks is always slightly spicy (I once suggested that each morning they rub done the cookware with cumin), but options like the build-your own sandwiches and the diner are always good. The food isn't always knock-your-socks-off, but there's always healthy options and balanced meals.

ASU campus is very tolerant and diverse, but white and Hispanic make up the majority purely due to state demographics. There are many Asian and Middle-Eastern International students, and countless languages can be heard in the common areas. There are also many people with handicaps, who have access to support and resources in a dedicated services building.

I am not athletic myself, but I know Football and Basketball are attended in massive numbers and the whole campus gets involved for the home football games. I would like to see other sports getting recognition at games and events, but there is no shortage of facilities. One can often see the row team practicing in the river just to the north, and the Aquatic Center, Baseball Fields, Open Fields, the Dome, and the Arenas are all right on campus. There is also the Student Fitness Center, which is huge and equipped with everything an athlete could use to improve themselves individually.

Arizona state university has free public busses. ASU has trains and shuttles and provides alternatives to owning your own vehicle.

The campus seems to be pretty open and easy going. I respect the fact that students should not be partaking in illegal or nefarious activities.

Finiancial aid gives you everything that you need. This does come with the need to get loans but Financial aid supplies them. Financial aid is a huge process and applying early is extremely important!

My major at school is health sciences and the program seems to be good. It gets a variety of medicine in each class. It tries to expand your meaning of medicine and they are all good classes. The workload is fair and the job opportunities are there and you are helped to find jobs after.

ASU sports are extremely important. This as well as one other college are big contenders for college football as well as college softball/baseball. The fan support is great!

I am a health sciences major, I enjoy the teachers and classes. I am planning on going medical school so this bachlors program is a great way to get all the pre requisites. However, this major alone would probably as good for you finding a job as any other health care profession. This major is usually used for only a primary major for those continuing to a higher degree.

Depends on the campus you choose. Tempe cost $600 a semester but downtown can be $6 a day but you can park reasonably close for free or for a couple of quarters.

Make sure you know what you are doing before you even consider taking out a loan. Read on it and invest your time into filling out some scholarships because in the long run you will thank yourself for doing it. Keeping track of the loans that you take out and make sure that you know exactly what you are talking about because it would seem that they would continue to send you in a loop.

The campus is pretty much in the heart of everything. All you need to do is hop the light rail and there you are. The entertainment is at every corner, from bowling to live stand up. Everyone will be able to find something that will fill their appetite and keep them coming back for more.

I've loved my time at ASU so far. Lots of services, some relatively modern equipment, and well rounded classes make it a great choice. There are events going on every week but not too much that it will distract you. Stay on track, and I think you'll enjoy your time here.

The Valley Metro bus lines come by campus often enough throughout the day, cab services are available, and the campus shuttle that runs on the weekdays is relatively dependable. The campus shuttle is free and helps students get to Tempe campus within an hour, so it is certainly beneficial.

There is a great variety around campus easily accessible by bike, walking, bus, or light rail. For example, there is a lot of great Indian and Mediterranean food, as well as American eateries, fast food places, healthy locations, bars, frozen yogurt, and sit-down restaurants. You have all the chain restaurants, plus many hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop, ethnic, and one-of-a-kind destinations. Most are very reasonably priced as well.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
