ASU has a pretty good amount of varieties. However, not the healthiest. Its good to eat there once in awhile but everyday isn't good. It's always great to grab a snack! A best place that they have is called Ingrained, its all organic. Its the only place that is healthy. They have delicious salads! Plan meals can be expensive but if you are living on campus it is recommended.

There are so many restaurants you can go to off campus! Its great and not too far from the dorms if you live on campus. Theres a variety such as, sushi, to Mexican food, to burgers and fries. Theres also really good pizza, if you are a pizza fan! Mill Avenue though is always crowded especially on the weekends but shouldn't stop you from going there to eat and to have fun!

This is more pertaining to students that are older. 21 and older. So for those there is more variety and opportunities. Students that are younger I mean you can still go out, there are some 18 year old clubs but not really worth going to. Its better to even host your own party! You can safe money Maybe that could be more fun. However, there are people who go crazy and the police do need to be called so sometimes it can be dangerous.
College Sophomore 2012-09-15T15:12:13Z
The police forces can be strict and should be strict especially if you are living on campus. Most parents dont want to be sending there kids to a campus that has no restrictions when it comes down to drinking and drugs. If someone becomes violent or agressive in any way then you will be in trouble and consequences await you. Yes you can have fun in college but in a moderated way. People abuse that and thats how you will be caught. If students are just going to get drink and there main goal is partying, then academic life will decrease and they can be kicked out if there grades are not improving due to there lifestyle. Best tip is, have fun and experience college but in a way where its not to the extreme.

The police are extremely strict on minor in consumption (drugs AND alcohol). After the second MIC, your housing becomes in jeopardy. Be careful and discreet in what you do. There are also "quiet times", not strictly enforced unless you seriously disrupt the peace; you will be documented.

The availability of parking is great, the permit cost for students is horrendous. It is 800 dollars for the parking permit, but the spots are close to the dorms (Hassayampa - the brand new housing)

For how much my mother makes, which is not very much, I did not get awarded a lot. There is a great hassle trying to get ahold of the financial aid office, and the line there is atrociously long. The abundance of scholarships is poor as well. The FAFSA awarding is not as great as I thought it would be either.
College Sophomore 2012-09-14T23:08:22Z
It is pretty hot right at the beginning, but you get used to it quickly. You do sweat a lot, and since classes are for from the brand new dorms, it is a bit of a hassle. After about a month, the weather moderately cools down. No matter what though, everyone is outside or out and about so it works!:)

Mainly thier is lots of partying going on at the school and lots of loud music and kids hanging out late at night and a few drinking has been happening but you never really see the alcohol, what you really see is some kids trying to hide the fact that they are drunk but trying to act normal. And I don't know about the drugs but Im pretty sure that is not an issue on campus.
College Sophomore 2012-09-13T22:29:13Z
Thier is more chinese and indie kids, then blacks or any other race and I believe that it is absoutely crazy because I have never seen so many all in one place and I don't know what made them choose to come here compare to other colleges. But overall the school and the people are nice so really I don't see much people complaining about the race because everyone are basically friends with each other.

The food is here really good and the dining hall food service is way better than the high school cafeteria food. I go almost every once in awhile to eat in different dining halls. And also its always clean and always have food prepared and ready for kids when they enter.

Light Rail – I must say that public transportation is quite excellent! Buses, shuttles, and the light rail are always running! It's really cheap, plus you do not have to pay for parking tickets! I use the light rail saves me gas and money!

Computer Labs – Computer labs on campus are reliable. They only get crowded during midterms/finals. The computers are modern not old school. You'll always find a spot. WiFi is available around campus so you can always bring your laptop! I do not really feel the need to take my laptop to campus its easier and more convenient for me to use a computer there!

I attend the downtown campus, it is very interesting. You have several stores to go shopping to. It is quite safe, there is always police/security walking around. Students are friendly. It is a diverse campus. You can enjoy baseball games at the Chase field. There are several things that you can do off campus. You'll enjoy it!! There is always something going on! There are many places to go eat, maybe you're feeling like going out? There's clubs/bars around, plus the great thing is that the light rail is right there! Very convenient!

I have only just began my degree in Anthropology. I love physical anthropology and see it repeated in some of my courses. I hope to do some research in Africa and work work in a zoo with monkeys.

Fun College! There are four ASU campuses, and all of them are filled to the brim with things to do. You will never be bored, and there are hundreds of clubs for almost any interest you can think of. There are fitness centers to stay healthy, huge libraries for research, and exciting traditions.

Super Easy Admission – When I applied for my program at ASU, it was the easiest process ever! All I did was fill out my basic information about myself and my high school grades and I was offered admission within a few days, if I remember correctly.

Awesome Criminology Program – The Criminology program here is amazing. The classes are intriguing, and I am never bored. The workload is completely doable, as long as you use your time wisely. ASU has lots of connections with all sorts of agencies that are always recruiting people for internships and even jobs. Very nice program.

Be Careful Where You Look – Make sure you look slightly further from campus like in Scottsdale, Chandler or Gilbert. The downtown Tempe area is not safe and I had a horrible experience there. It was cheap and close but not worth it.
