Parking at ASU is horrendous! Invest money in a UPASS if you are commuting to other of the three campuses (besides your main campus) to save you trouble or take the free intercampus shuttles. If you have a class at 10am in Tempe, you need to be on campus by 9:30 to give you 20 minutes to find a parking spot and pay for an overpriced parking spot and then walk to class. I wish they had a more affordable option. I find myself riding the buses and public transportation a lot.

The sports at Arizona State Universtity are exciting! there is always a game to watch. My favorites are football and baseball. Sometimes it seems as if the whole school is at the game! ASU has great spirit!

Good but Needs Improvement – The facilities at Arizona State University are good. The Student Recreation Complex has different gyms for basketball, volleyball, badmitton, racquetball, weightlifting, martial arts, a swimming pool, and similar to what the YMCA offers in their complexes. The student union--commonly called Memorial Union--has been newly renovated a few years ago after a kitchen fire burned the majority of the second and third floors of the building. It continues to be a popular hangout of many students and faculty along with the constant shortage of finding a decent place to sit. The only issues with Arizona State University is that it is overcrowded so finding a seat in the Memorial Union is very difficult, nearly impossible. The billiards and bowling area in the basement of the Memorial Union needs improvements to look new. The Student Recreation Complex also needs improvements because most of the equipment is old and needs to be replaced. Overall, Arizona State University's facilities are great areas on campus but needs the most improvements.

Strict but Not Strict Enough – The police force is strict but does not deliver severe punishments like expulsion or suspension. The only thing they accomplish is having students serve court-times and removal from the dorms.

Convenient Location Near Campus – The apartments in Tempe are in convenient locations near Arizona State University's Tempe campus. Some are expensive but some are also fairly priced. In addition, it is not difficult to find an apartment near ASU.

They Are Quite Pricy – Most of the nearby housing is more expensive than on campus. However, if you are willing to make a commute of 1-2 miles you can find some pretty good deals.

It Just Like Most Places – There is a good variety of cultures and preferences represented in the Off-Campus Dining, however it is a little pricy.

Sports Are Decent – Football games are fun but students have to pay for tickets which would be ok if it didn't require four, often more, hours to get into the game. You also have to pay for Mens Basketball tickets. All other sports are free though which is nice, however they do not really have the same energy.

Dry Campus – There is a bad reputation for ASU regarding alcohol and drugs. I can find people to hang out with and not drink or I can choose to do that. It is not necessary.

Guys & Girls:
Most of the guys I have met are physically attractive, but aren't necessarily smart. The ones that are smart are not very attractive. This is a hard thing to overcome. There have been a few that are both, but they are hard to find.

No Connection – The people at this school aren't really the sort I would make friends with, but there are a few good people.

Profits Soar as Educational Experience Sinks – The University processes a lot of students. It's main goal is to turn out students with degrees at as high a profit as possible. The university still offers a wide variety of interesting programs, but the quality of the education the university provides decreases in correlation with its rising greed and useless fees. The school has significantly departed from its original charter to provide an affordable education to Arizona residents.

Nice Variety – There are a number of choices within walking distance of ASU. The prices range from very inexpensive to very costly. You can find many ethnic options alongside classic American cuisine; fast food to trendy.

It's All Off Campus – The campus is pretty much dead after 8. Mill Avenue is close by though, so you can always just go there.

It's College – It's decent, I don't see a lot of it, and what I see is legal drugs. People smoke a lot outside, and while you're not suppose to inside, they do. I remember there were several times where the fire alarms went off due to someone smoking in their room.

In the End, It's Still a Desert – Personally, I love the weather here. It's mild or cool most of the school year. But let's face it, as nice as the winters are, it's still a desert. Walking to class with 120 degree wether is never fun.

Mediocre at Best – While technically ok to live off campus, ASU makes it extremely difficult. It is mandatory that first year students stay on campus, and it's not cheep.

Campus is diverse but not overly diverse, however walking through campus, one can notice who is from Arizona and who is not.

Parking at ASU is a huge pain. Permits are expensive and ASU police are constantly looking for metered parkers to ticket.
