Guys & Girls:
Guys and Gals – Here at ASU you find a variety of people, from the foreign students, to the overly tanned sorority girls, to the hipster boys, to the people who do not really care about looks. Everyone seems to get along really well and mostly everyone here enjoys the nightlife.

We are composed of diverse students from in state, out of state, and international students. There is a variety of cultures and this can be seen in every class. I enjoy being part of a diverse community since everyone has different opinions but work together towards for a better and improved community.

There are many places around Tempe campus that are affordable for students and walking distance. Even better, some of them have lunch specials and there is a variety of food choices. I have tasted different types of food such as Greek, Thai, Asian, and many others that are really good and it is part of our diversity in our college community. I definitely recommend trying different foods, enjoying their taste, and learning from them.

Tempe has a small college feel on the edge of one of the biggest cities in the country. This is nice, because you can live on campus and have everything you might need within walking distance, while a quick drive (or trip via light rail) will get you into a big city.

Greeks Are Just Part of the Scene – Greek life is there for events with campus or other Greek members, but they throw parties without status and anyone is allowed to join. As well as they'll join other parties without making a scene, at ASU you would never know who is in a frat or sorority unless they tell you themselves, but its not a must know basis.

Enough Libraries to Go Around – The facilities at Arizona State are great as they vary from new to old. It can give you the feeling from having history through the brick buildings as well as have the new modernized buildings for a more technological feeling. All buildings are renovated from the inside and every building has libraries with their own study areas that allow you to always find a place if needed.

Health & Safety:
Entirely Safe – I have never felt threatened at ASU campus. There are always going to be petty thefts if you secure your belongings, but I have been on campus from early in the morning to late night errands and have never experienced nor witnessed any harm done to students.

How does one rate the weather on campus? You get what you get. Seeing as how ASU is in Arizona, well, most of us know already that it can get pretty hot here. Three digit weather is no fun.

ASU may not have a personal gym for only students but the YMCA is right across the street and ASU students are free to use the facility. There is a library right on campus but for those that are looking for something that can't be found at the campus library the public library is only a five minute drive away. The light rail, public transportation, and the bus station is located also across from the campus so anyone looking to get off campus can easily do so by taking public transportation. Because of the downtown campus being located, well, downtown, students can enjoy a variety of entertainment establishments. Whether you're into comedy, looking for a bite to eat, or wanting to cheer on the local sports team, the downtown campus is located and surrounded by it all.

Great Options – At ASU there are plenty of options to get where you need to go. There are inter-campus shuttles, buses, light rails, parking for your cars, and always walking/biking/skating/ etc. The cost for the inter-campus shuttles is free, while the bus and light rails are discounted for students.

Loosey Goosey – The school I attend is not too strict when it comes to student individuality. There are always going to be drinkers and smokers and what not. The policies are fairly relaxed when it comes to this. If you are smart, nothing bad will happen.

Good Place to Be – There are many off campus options that are still fairly close and are not incredibly expensive. Living with my boyfriend and our tons of animals, it was great for us to be able to find a place that was willing to help us out and still be a place I would invite friends over too. The places around the campus are really nice and can be found pretty easily; unlike parking which is the biggest concern.

Location Accomidation – The thing I love is that there always seems to be an ASU location fairly close to where I live. I live far away from Tempe, but there's ASU West that's relatively close, and because the school offers free transportation to other campuses, I can use West as a jumping point to get to Tempe

Good, but There's One Main Improvement I'd Make – Being a larger person (though losing weight now) and also rather tall, I notice in a lot of classrooms don't really keep people like me in mind, and use small side desks I can't use. There are some ugly buildings too (only a couple), but other than that, I'd say the quality is good.

No to an Internship – I haven't had an internship and although it seems pretty cool. From what I have heard the pay is horrible and the hours suck. I have a child who I would like to support & be around. I'm going to make it worth my time if I'm going to be away from him.

The MU has a great amount of variety when it comes to food. But the reason I give it a grade of C is because there isn't a lot of places to eat healthy for a reasonable price

Sunshine Most of the Time – It seems like everyday is sunny. However, in the mornings it can be a little chilly but it usually warms up from noon on. This means that you will most likely wear a jacket to your early class but you end up taking it off after your class. Overall, sunshine seems to be 90% of the time. There are some rainy days because of monsoon season.

None on My Campus – There isn't a Greek life on my campus because I am at West campus.

Guys & Girls:
Mostly Friendly – Most of the guys and girls are friendly, but there's every once in a while you run into a couple snobby people.
College Junior 2012-03-25T21:12:47Z
Ok but Repetitive – You get really sick of the food on campus after a couple times in a row. There are only so many times you can eat the same thing (especially at their high prices!). The restaurants and places in the area to eat are way better priced than on campus.
College Junior 2012-03-25T21:07:38Z
Awesome Affordable Tasty – There are many restaurants near Arizona State University West. From Taco Bell to Goodcents, there are really many options for students within walking distance. Domino's Pizza is also a great option because they accept M&G (campus food plan card). Taco Bell does not accept M&G, but they do give a discount if you show them your ASU ID. Overall, there really are many great places to go off campus when you are hungry!

There is a decent amount of greek life on campus. All the sorrorities and fraternities are very secretive and don't talk about much unless you are a brother or sister. The fee's can also be expensive but for some students they swear by them. I think it is sort of lame in the aspect you are paying for friends but the comradary seems valuable. They often host parties and are always doing something.

The nightlife in Tempe is pretty awesome. You can choose the different type of scene you want in accordance with your preferences. There are some 18 and older clubs but they tend not to be very popular. The local frats and sorroritys are constantly holding house parties and there is a local car company that chauffers you back to your house. The lightrail runs right through campus and into phoenix so it is cheap and easy to get around. There are also huge apartment complexes that always have some commotion going on.

Decent but Could Be Improved – There are quite a few computer hubs around campus but they are very busy. It is often really hard to find a spot but the network reliability is pretty sound. There is always a connection and the speed is adequate but can be a little slow when trying to run torrents or a video stream. Wireless access is normally good but this past year I have found that it is hard to connect. I have to run diagnostics on my mac several times before I can get it to sync.

Nightlife at ASU seemed the funnest while doing homework at a hookah lounge.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
