Cars on campus aren't really needed but there are many places to park. Also depends on where you get your permit to park. The closer to the center of campus, the more ridiculously priced they seem.

I've already completed my freshman year at ASU and am looking to change majors, however even after looking at a somewhat extensive list of Majors, I still can find anything that I'm interested in studying.

Students are given many warnings before any action/punishment is given, however you are likely to get in trouble for minor disturbances.

Parking and Transit workers are constantly on everyone's case. There is hardly anywhere to park and just when you think you find a spot, it needs a specific permit with absurd parking hours

Alcohol and Drugs – Drinking is very popular at party scenes along with Marijuana.

Park and Ride – If you live anywhere off campus and don't feel like parking your car on campus there are many "Park and Ride" sites that allow you to park in a designated lot for free and use buses or light rails to get to the school. This is very convenient and saves money on parking passes which can be very expensive.

Parking passes for on campus parking is crazy expensive so be ready for that. There are many meters around but usually never available. Overall parking isn't great.

Lost Paperwork Led to Many Problems – The whole financial aid process was not as smooth as it would have been. It was confusing to find all the steps and much easier to talk to someone in person than over the phone (so I definitely recommend in-person meetings). Somehow one of my forms was lost or not received and it caused big problems for my first semester and I was worried I wouldn't get my financial aid. After a couple phone calls to find the right person who knew what we should do, and then a couple more meetings, I got in what I needed and got my financial aid.

A Bit of a Struggle, at First. I originally applied at ASU specifically to get into their BAS Internet and Web Development program. After being accepted though, I discovered that without an AAS (associate of applied science) degree I would not be able to pursue that program. Even though I posses two AA degrees, and one of them in Computer Science Web Development, they would not allow me into that program. Very disappointing for me, so I then enrolled into their BLS (Liberal Studies) program to pursue my bachelor's degree. This Summer they opened up their GIT program without the required AAS prerequisite and I have since switched my major into the GIT program, YEAAA!!!
So, it was a bit of a struggle to get into the program that I really wanted to be in, but the wait was definitely worth it.

Guys & Girls:
Fun and Intelligent!!! I have had zero problems with any students at ASU. The guys are always helpful and do not act "better than" when I am asking for help with course topics and the gals are always friendly and also helpful, never acting "stuck up". Both genders are intelligent, friendly and happy to help other students.

Graphic Information Technology – There are an abundance of GIT classes available at ASU, more than I would've expected when I was admitted last December. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have a major that is not only challenging, but fun and exciting and always keeping my attention.

I am currently going into my second semester at ASU and am very pleased with the wide range of classes that are available to me. I am also extremely pleased with the effort and attention that my professors put forth into furthering my education. Instructors are sure to make my studies challenging but they are very helpful with understanding course objectives.

As a student you have access to so much in Tempe. You can eat Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, vegan, vegetarian and many more for less than 5 mile radius from campus.

Diversity and Clubs – While being a big lake of a campus you can always find your niche or people who are like you in various clubs and activities on campus.

Music Program – I love my teachers. My bass professor is very chill and knowledgeable, and I have improved so much. The advisors are very helpful and make sure you sign up for the correct classes.

It sucks that it RARELY rains, but the winter and spring are beautiful. Summer is just HOTTTT. Id rather live somewhere where it rains!

I Like My Degree's Program, but Not the Attitude of the College – I really like my degree's program. It is very professional and has nice resources. However, overall ASU is all about the money and are not very helpful when it comes to affording school. They are also not friendly to transfer credits from the community college because they want more money.

Nicest Area in AZ – If i was going to live anywhere in Arizona, Tempe is the best area.

Concerned and Helpful Teachers – I am very satisfied with the ASU teachers i have interacted with. Despite the large classroom sizes, they are eager to give individual attention if asked.

A Considerably Diverse Campus – Arizona State university has a diverse, but united student body. there are many different statuses regarding race, political beliefs, religion, sexual orientation, etc. Despite these differences, the student among campus still manage to come together and create a diverse but accepting community.

Love Living at Home – I personally love living at home, I would rather live at home than spend unnessecary money for a dorm. Although living in a dorm would be easy for transportation to my classes, I would still rather be at home therefore I don't need to spend all my money.

The drug scene shown in Arizona State is not all that bad, although there are a lot of people that drink and smoke, but it all depends on who you chose to be around and who you chose to be friends with.

Hospital Internship – I currently have an internship where I go to the hospital and job shadow a nurse. It's a great opportunity but it is also very time consuming. I do not get paid nor do I except to, I am very lucky to have this internship, I have learned a lot from just being in the hospital, such as how the environment is and how to take care of patients.

Took this major thinking I was going into advertising, but marketing is really just about the statistical analysis of market trends. Business-y.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
