Walking in the Heat – I park about 12 minutes away from my campus building; therefore, the weather can impact my little stroll to the campus. Luckily, it does not snow in Tempe, Arizona so winters are rather nice; however, when it is hot, I am not looking forward to walking in the street, so I might need to find a new parking spot.

I would say that the campus is pretty straight forward and expected. Campus strictness is evident in the school code. It i expected that all students have an understanding of it and follow it. Things on the code include: cheating, plagiarism, alcohol & drug use, etc.

To me the atmosphere is quite appealing. I love seeing the diversity of people walking around all over the campus. I wouldn't say the the campus is over-crowded. It seems just right. I love to see everyone riding their bicycles all over the campus. The location is nice because there are stores and restaurants along the street and sometimes there are events going on along the streets or even at the school.

Getting around is a little difficult unless you have money for a cab. There are buses you can take for far distances but it is confusing to figure out which one you have to take to get where you want to go.

There is very little parking for students. You have to get to school super early if you want a good spot and to get to class on time. It is also very expensive to get a parking permit.

Drinking is definitely more popular at Arizona State University. I have not had any encounters with people using at parties very often.

The best way to get as much financial aid possible is to apply early as in before January. I received a good amount of financial aid for this school year but unfortunately because of the increase in tuition I had to take out a loan.

Campus Life – There is so much to do here at ASU. With 600+ clubs its hard not to find a hobby. Not only are the clubs really fun but there are activities held on campus almost everyday. They play music during lunch, sometimes dance cubs perform on the small stage outside, there are shopping booths along the library, great places to eat on campus. I can truly say this is a diverse campus in both the people and the activities.

The Tempe campus has a variety of bus that can transport some. There are specific buses that can take you directly to the other campuses, there is the flash that drives around the tempe campus only which helps getting you to the parking garages, and there is also the orbit system which is free of charge that drives all around the tempe area. There is parking but that is insanely expensive.

Know Where to Go – In Tempe, there are going to be parties. But you've kind of got to know where they are to get to them. Sometimes you can go to Frat Row, but they can be hit or miss. Your best bet is to make friends with kids who have their own apartment or find kids who know kids who have their own off campus houses. Or get a 21+ friend and party by yourselves.
There are plenty of bars and clubs in Phoenix, but you've got to be 21 to drink at bars. And there are a couple of 18+ clubs, but you might have to fend off a few creepers. But they can be fun, and their really close to the Downtown PHX campus.

Welcome to the Oven – It's incredibly hot here in the summer, but you already knew that. I love the heat and think the warmer winters are awesome, so it's perfect for me. If you're not suited to temperatures that reach over 110, then leave before June!

There are lots of places to choose from around campus, but nothing particularly outstanding.

Local Attitude Toward Students – I have never seen anyone who gave me a hard time for being a student here, in fact, I swear that Panda Express gives me a discount for it.

Best Experience of My Life – Living on campus my freshman year was the best. The life at ASU campus has is high energy and so much fun. There is always something to do. Programs and groups to join for all people. It's really easy to get involved and to have fun. It's a huge campus that has a lot to offer and it's all within the campus.

ASU has too many options of food to eat on campus. They have choices for everyone even vegetarians. The dinning halls can get a it repetitive if you eat there every single day but there are plenty of options. As for meal plans it's better to stick with all M&G and add more later. Friends can guest swipe if you really need it.

ASU has a beautiful campus that is just glowing with life and fun. There are many things to do such as work out at the SRC which has plenty of machines and a huge pool to swim and workout in. We also have the Memorial Union which has plenty of activities for you to do as well as so many options for food. Throughout campus we have many beautiful fountains and art as well as table and benches to sit and enjoy the lovely weather and outdoors.

Memorial Union has several good places including burger king, subway, taco bell, and more. Several other places spread out through the campus.

Thai Basil – Thai food. Rice, noodles, chicken, an excellent place to eat any time of the week.

ASU's not far from home, nice campus, lots of shopping and restaurants and bars nearby

ASU is a "dry" campus meaning no alcohol. Also no drugs allowed of course. However, when reading the news in the university's newspaper, there were quite a lot of reports on drug or underage drinking and even by word of mouth you heard about crazy parties and such.

The weather here is perfect. Summer is a little hot, but it's manageable

Life Off Campus – As a returning student, I don't think I would want to live in the dorms. I prefer to live off campus and commute. There is definitely a dorm like feel to campus housing that I personally don't care for.

Fast Food Dining – I would recommend stepping off the campus to grab something to eat. There are tons of great restaurants around the campus. However they do provide fast food, like taco bell and subway for students on campus.

Health & Safety:
Really Safe – I have always felt completely safe on the ASU campus. There are emergency phones every 10 feet to get a hold of the police and they have an emergency text system to let students know if there is a problem on campus. I really like the campus and would highly recommend it to others

The freshmen dorms aren't the best, but they're better than what one would expect. Hassayampa is not too bad. It's close to two dining halls and the post office. The rooms are alright, but the lofted beds are a bit of a hassle and you have to buy your own light source.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
