There are so many opportunities at ASU. There are four campus's located in Arizona and each one is different in their own way. There are so many degree's and programs that are offered unlike other schools. Everyone I talk to loves it here, and they always have stories to tell about what adventures they went on that weekend. There sport's teams are always active and popular, along with the professional ones around the area.

Shivering? or Sweating? My choice would be sweating. I recently came from a campus with snow. I must say it is so much more enjoyable to be able to walk to class without my head ducked and my whole body layered with clothes. Arizona does get very hot, but it only stays hot for about 3 out of the 9 months we attend school. It effects us because of how uncomfortable you get, but the campus is pretty well shaded so it isn't that horrible.

Life in the Desert – The campus is awesome! I recently transferred here because my other school didn't have the college atmosphere like Arizona State does. The buildings are all very unique, one of my classes is even located by an indoor garden. The walkways are big and shaded by beautiful palm trees. The library is always a great place to study, you enter underground, which is pretty interesting. My roommates are constantly at the gym and I think it's great how huge the campus is, even if I occasionally get lost.

Can Be Difficult – I amin the WP Carey school of business and was accepted into their ba degree programs from the beginning however to get into the Bs degree programs it's a little harder. My only issue was that I hadto retake my act test to get the score I needed. That was my only obsticale however other people have had a much harder time with it, but it's worth it

Fairly Laid Back – For the most part ASU is just like any other school. Underage drinking happens all the time but most students get caught at least one. Drugs happen also but there much stricter on that. They are however extremely strict with the honor code, especially in the WP Carey school of business which is good becasue it ensures our validity as students.

The Melting Pot – ASU is a very diverse campus. There are people not just around the United States but around the world. It allows for you to experience differet people and learn to appreciate peoples differences but it is sometimes hard to understand and act appropriately around different people.

Living close to ASU can cost as much as living on campus. The farther you get the less you'll spend, but there's no way I could live anywhere near here without roommates.

Ocotillo Rules! I had the time of my life living on campus. If I had never lived at Ocotillo I would have never met my best friends in the world.

Health & Safety:
I Feel Fine – I know that the security on my campus does the best they can. I always see them patrolling and they seem to really care about the students. There's also a great program in place to escort students home at night.

Get Around – We are located near a bus transportation center, the light rail is the most popular.
College Junior 2012-01-17T17:21:01Z
Party All Day & All Night – I always see people party and having a good time but on campus you wont see any drugs or alcohol unless you go out looking for it. Overall it's pretty low key. you have to be supper drunk or stupid to get caught. There is always something going on but you'll never feel pressured people are really easy going.

Summer Is Awful – The weather is nice, sometimes even cold, for about half the calendar year (october to march). But the rest of the year comes with varying degrees of hot and hotter. Avoid summer school at all costs, the temperature is insane (100+), and the Tempe campus is big enough to make you regret all the walking outdoors.

Multiple Options – There are several good options for transportation around campus (especially in the Tempe area). City buses and free shuttles, plus free campus and inter-campus shuttles. Late-night transportation can be a problem; most university transportation options stop at 10pm, city buses run until about midnight.

Biased Opinion – I'm not your average college kid. I love learning so my college experience is 99.99% positive, just like the rest of my life. That .01% are those rare moments that I think something is actually worth stressing about. That .01% never lasts long.

Lax With Facts – As long as you don't go off the deep end generally you won't find yourself in trouble. Don't do stupid s*** if you even think someone might be watching, because there's police and security usually always nearby.

Always a Breeze – In all of my experiences everything has been very easy to use and there are all the resources I need available. Whenever any issues arose, there was always helpful staff available to resolve my problem.

Not That Great – Nothing special at ASU, just your everyday college.
College Junior 2012-01-17T05:25:05Z
Good but Pricey – There are a lot of options for food, a lot fo restaurants, stores, coffee shops, diners, smoothies, bagels, frozen yogurt, etc. But eating too much of it can be pretty expensive. Same goes to for meal plans - the barret food is wonderful, but the most expensive.

Health & Safety:
I feel extremely safe on campus. It's a big school - but that's part of why you can trust it so much. The police are friendly, and watch out for you. You can get rides from security if you need it. There are plenty of these weird blue lights you can run to in emergencies. And you know that no one can jump out at you in such a crowded place. If you leave something like a phone or a bike unsupervised, then yeah its going to get stolen. That happens anywhere. And dont leave your bike unlocked or overnight. But aside from that, everything seems fine to me.

During the winter the weather is absolutely awesome, around 60 or 70. The fall and spring are also wonderful, around 80 or 90. Once the summer comes though, it can be a slightly unbearable walking to class because it can reach up to 120. It maybe rains once or twice a semester.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
