ASU has some old school computers, but for the majority of the school, its pretty high tech and computer are very accessible.

Arizona State University has a wide range of challenges because its such a big school with many campus sites. You have so many options and there are so many different ethics and social backgrounds. I like because of the different people and professors.

The Rules Are There – The rules are there, but what dorm you live in or what campus is how well the hold on the rules.

VERY Different – There are so many different people here. It leads to learning more about different people and different cultures. ASU is perceived as a party school only but there are a lot of people who like to do other things then party. Many people here are also very accepting of different religions and are very interested in what you have to say. The only annoying thing are the non-students who come on campus to preach, but as long as you say no thank you to their pamphlets you are good to go.

They have both macs and dells for students to use. The wireless drops often but simply getting an ethernet cord for your dorm solves that problem in a snap. When the internet is up (about 80%) of the time it runs perfectly. When it drops you just reset your wireless or airport and it comes back on. Not a big problem but just a tad annoying when it happens often. Its a bit difficult to find places to print but they are there as long as you look.

The people here at Asu have a variety of races but most people of the same race stick to there own kind. There are a majority of Asian and White students that go here. Likewise, their isn't a lot of African Americans or Indians, only a small handful.Overall, the amount of females and males that go here seems very reasonable. Most people here are friendly, while some can be stuck up and judgmental.Specifically, the students from out of state.

The variety of restaurants at ASU have really good eat out places. Anything that you may be craving they have it. Although, some places don't give out student discounts. For example, Ihop and Chillies. However, the majority of the restaurants near by give out good discounts. One of my favorites is Panda Express and Chipotle because they give out a lot of food. There burritos are really big, yet its very healthy to eat as well. Wendy's, which is close by to the dorms allows students to use thier student card to buy food which really helps save money.

I go to Arizona State University, and my major at my school can be fun but at time very stressful.Simply, because its time consuming and their is a lot of guidelines you have to follow. however, all my professors are helpful and understanding. Even though some can be strict and a pain sometime I like them as individuals. Also there are a lot of available internships and jobs in the Art field. Its really neat to be ab;e to visit different Art Museums and explore programs such as drawing, 3D Art and more.

I am studying at ASU Polytechnic Campus and here we have smaller group of students in every class. Because of this, the professor can actually focus on all of us and answer every question that we have. Besides, professors can remembers our name which make me felt like I was in high school again. In addition, I can actually go and meet the professor personally if I have problems understanding the lecturers.

Its always sunny. It gets pretty hot sometimes and people tend to stay in doors. The night life is nice because of all the heat earlier in the day. When it rains out here it tends to pour real hard. The locals here think that the cold is really cold when in reality its just a little breezy.

Arizona Rules – Many students who live on campus do not like it at all. Although there are some advantages such as all the utilities it stops there. The things you can and cant have in rooms is unfair. The CA's are everyone's main concern most are strict. If police get evolved in any situation on campus you are at a very high risk of getting kick out of campus. I've seen people get in trouble for the dumbest things just because CA's were abusing their power.

You Just Have to Look – Tempe has a good selection of rooms for rent, condos, and apartments. They range from $200-$1500 depending on what one is looking for and income. There are deals online sites such as craigslist. You don't have to rent out a room all to your self I have seen many friends split the bill on rent and it comes out to about $200 each in places like the view(across from Tempe campus).

Has a big parking garage with lots of disabled parking but, even though a person may have state disabled parking sticker, the school charges over $600 a semester to obtain permission and use the disabled parking. Other parking is relatively close to campus but is toooo far for disabled parking. Way too much walking!!!!

I personally do not engage in any 'Greek Life' activities; I have not experienced anything negative on campus IF this is occurring, which is why I rate it as "A" because if it were something bothersome and alters my experience, this would be a negative mark for an otherwise outstanding school.

Guys & Girls:
Diverse Population – I am primarily a student at ASU West, however in the spring will be attending the Downtown as well as Tempe campus, so this review stems from ASU West experience: The student population is incredibly diverse. Most of the 'night classes' have working professionals and / or parents wanting to further education, so this is generally an older crowd. The 'day classes' see many first-year students, as well as a sprinkling of older students. In my experience, my fellow students have all been respectable, great to work with, motivated, and overall pleasant to share the college experience with.

Outstanding Educational Experience – This was my first year as an ASU student; I transfered from Glendale Community College. This has been by far the greatest experience in college thus far; my professors have all been supportive of my goals, inspirational, and dedicated to the classes they teach. I regret not attending ASU sooner; I feel enriched mentally and socially since attending this school, and I recommend ASU quite often to parents of college-age students in my workplace.

This School Is Very Fun – ASU is an amazing place to be! There is always something going on and the weather is always beautiful. The important thing is to not let all the fun distract you from the reason you are there: your studies.
College Junior 2011-11-13T07:31:10Z
A Little Overpriced – There are a wide variety of housing opportunities at ASU when you consider the choice between an apartment or a house. The problem is many are somewhat overpriced due to the fact of being located near one of the largest universities in the country.

Library Is a Great Resource! The libraries at Arizona State are your best friend! Hayden library(Main Campus) is quite large and contains computers and many group study rooms available to rent out. And of course, there are is an amazing collection of books and journals to explore on its many floors!

Easy School to Graduate from – No one gets kicked out due to academic reasons or any other reasons. ASU just cares about getting money from students My friend was harassed by her roommate at one of the dorms her Freshman year and the school wouldn't do anything. Her roommate left a pile of crap in front of her door & wrote all over her door too. The school did nothing. My friend had to contact the police (off-campus) and they made the dorm let her move out. People fail classes and can retake them and replace their whole grade, most schools take the average. It's not strict at all.

Lots of Booze – Dorms don't care if you get home drunk as long as the actual source isn't within their area. You have to be super obvious to get caught. The police won't do anything to you if you're walking around drunk, as long as they don't actually see you drinking. My friend drinks in class all the time. She puts beer in a clear water bottle & doesn't care because it looks like apple juice. Everyone gets high too. One of my suite mates is always smoking weed, even though we're not allowed to even smoke cigarettes within the vicinity. Some people even smoke on the balcony.
College Senior 2011-11-12T05:30:58Z
Party Center – If you want to go to any parties, your best bet is a frat party. What sucks is that fraternities have houses, but they're really ugly and ghetto. Sororities don't have houses and instead live together within off-campus apartment complexes (that are super expensive and a total rip-off).

THere are people of all different backgrounds at this school and there are clubs and organizations that are both encouraging of diversity and helping people to find acceptance on campus.

All facilities are are very clean. They are generally lively with people. The libraries have quiet areas as well as social areas. The Memorial union has places to eat, sleep, study, and whatever else you may want to do.
