A couple of places to eat off campus. Many college students of course save their travel time and order either pizza or jimmy john's. Food is average based on location from campus and taste. Prices are ok.

Overall, the facilities are nice.Nothing fancy or advanced, but they do a good job of being sustainable. The dorms are pretty much average. The health center is under construction for expansion and there is a new business building being built. Recreation center average, nothing unique or good. They are improving overall but focusing more on sustainability than anything else.

Recreation Center – There is enough equipment to workout for everyone. The pool is huge and amazing. There are many fields so nobody has to stay to wait for someone to finish. Everything is well organized and cleaned. There's healthy smoothies for sell at the entrance. Everything just fits pefectly.

There Is a Lot of White People – I would say at this university there is a high percentage of white people, and that;included, there are many other different races and cultures that I find interesting. I think that all races are collaborative towards one another and that they are friendly. Most of sexual orientation on the campus; what i think, is girls because to me I see it as Men are about 1/4 of the university, but most is all of women.

Had to go through a lot of people and loopholes to get my financial aid.

Internet connections are always good from your personal laptop, as is printing, but getting on a windows computer in the computing commons is a hassle and can take a lot of time

the parking at ASU is outrageous. Plan on walking and not driving if you can. the pay to park lots are expensive and the parking permits are rediculously expensive. I don't know who enjoys paying 800 for a term to park in a garage or for around 600 you can park and walk a few miles to your classes. The parking police are everywhere and out to get you.

If You Get Caught Drinking You'll Get a Warning – If you get caught dinking in a campus dorm you'll most likely get a warning and have to have a couseling session. If you get caught again you'll probably get expelled.

Health & Safety:
Campus Crime – in recent years there seems to be an increase in campus crime based on theft and molestation.

My experience at ASU so far has been incredible. I'm so happy I chose to become a sun devil! Everything has been wonderful. I can't wait to see what other adventures come my way.

Health & Safety:
I feel safe walking across campus alone, until it comes to nighttime. It's a little sketchy at times, but there is a service available to walk you across campus safely, which definitely comes in handy.

I have only been at ASU for seven weeks and have already learned so much! I'm really excited to move forward.

There are plenty of buses and light rails available, but having a car on campus is inconvenient. The parking is never where you need it to be, and you end up walking far to where you need to go anyways. Parking permits are very expensive as well.
College Junior 2011-10-13T22:14:47Z
There are a lot of white people at ASU, but there is a lot of student diversity. There are many foreign students and people from all over the country as well.
College Junior 2011-10-13T22:12:35Z
I love the libraries on campus. There are so many books and journals available as well as computers that are easily accessible and very convenient. The athletic center is very clean and extremely convenient as well. There are plenty of machines and classes to take. There are tons of campus activities. There are tie dye events, ice cream socials, dance parties, you name it we've got it.

Greek System – Greeks have a bad reputation at ASU due to the newer dean, however they are very diverse organizations focusing on the full college experience, such as furthering your education and having a blast before you have to face the real world.

Guys & Girls:
The ASU student body is very attractive and well dressed. Appearance seems to be everything with this crowd as students are rarely seen in sweats even in early morning classes. Social life is almost a degree in itself, weighing high on the priority scale.

So Much to Do – Honestly, there is so much to do at ASU for every type of person. If you want parties, there are plenty of them on every day of the week. Mill is booming on the weekends, so if you're over 21 that is definitely the place to be. Scottsdale is about a 20 minute drive, and has some great 18+ clubs. ASU puts on events called "Devils After Dark" on all four campuses every weekend, so if you are looking for something fun to do that doesn't involve partying all night, then that could be for you! ASU really does have something for everyone, the nightlife shouldn't disappoint.

The Place to Be for Journalism Majors – The facilities of the Cronkite Building located at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication on the Downtown campus are absolutely amazing. They include everything from multiple studios with state of the art equipment, to a new media innovation lab, and more edit bays and conference rooms or class rooms than you could even need. It is an incredible building full of all of the resources, including amazing professors, that any aspiring journalist could possibly need or want.

Public Transit – Public transportation is the best way to get around campus and around tempe. There are free buses like orbit and flash forward, flash back, but the city buses are just outrageously expensive and the U-pass doubled in price! otherwise they are convenient
College Senior 2011-10-11T19:36:29Z
Law Enforcement – The police here are really strict when it comes to alcohol consumption. I enjoy this a lot because I'm less tempted to go out and party and can focus on school.
College Senior 2011-10-11T19:33:44Z
Wireless Access – There is no wireless access at UNiversity towers, which is on campus living... How is that possible? How are we expected to work in groups if we can't access the internet because there is no WIFI. A lot of times it would crash then we would be screwed for homework since a lot of it is done online

Global Studies – I am a Global Studies major and it was extremely easy to get into. All I had to do was meet with an adviser to declare my major. My adviser very clearly explained to me which classes I needed to take and helps me set up my schedule every semester. One interesting thing about Global Studies is the requirement to go abroad. You can fulfill this requirement by studying abroad or interning abroad. For me this was a dream come true as I've always wanted to see the world and experience different cultures.

Great Global Opportunities – ASU is a pretty big school that offers almost every major imaginable. Their Global Studies program is fantastic. They offer so many great Global options from study abroad to internships and great scholarships to help cover the cost. All of the professors here are great. They are all very passionate about what they do and really want to help their students succeed. While I do wish it was more affordable to attend ASU I do understand that the financially difficult times makes it next to impossible to get an affordable education. Despite it's reputation ASU is not just a party school. While there are many clubs close by and awesome partying opportunities on campus, ASU is very focused on academics as well. You can't succeed here if you spend all your time partying and don't put in equal time with the books and class.

Everyone complains about the parking because it's expensive and inconvenient. The only lot affordable is Lot 59 and it's all the way across campus. There is no where to park within a mile radius from the school, and on campus be prepared to walk... a lot. The Flash buses are a big help though they are pretty slow. It's probably easier if you live on campus to not have a car.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
