Greek System – Greeks have a bad reputation at ASU due to the newer dean, however they are very diverse organizations focusing on the full college experience, such as furthering your education and having a blast before you have to face the real world.

Guys & Girls:
The ASU student body is very attractive and well dressed. Appearance seems to be everything with this crowd as students are rarely seen in sweats even in early morning classes. Social life is almost a degree in itself, weighing high on the priority scale.

So Much to Do – Honestly, there is so much to do at ASU for every type of person. If you want parties, there are plenty of them on every day of the week. Mill is booming on the weekends, so if you're over 21 that is definitely the place to be. Scottsdale is about a 20 minute drive, and has some great 18+ clubs. ASU puts on events called "Devils After Dark" on all four campuses every weekend, so if you are looking for something fun to do that doesn't involve partying all night, then that could be for you! ASU really does have something for everyone, the nightlife shouldn't disappoint.

The Place to Be for Journalism Majors – The facilities of the Cronkite Building located at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication on the Downtown campus are absolutely amazing. They include everything from multiple studios with state of the art equipment, to a new media innovation lab, and more edit bays and conference rooms or class rooms than you could even need. It is an incredible building full of all of the resources, including amazing professors, that any aspiring journalist could possibly need or want.

Public Transit – Public transportation is the best way to get around campus and around tempe. There are free buses like orbit and flash forward, flash back, but the city buses are just outrageously expensive and the U-pass doubled in price! otherwise they are convenient

Law Enforcement – The police here are really strict when it comes to alcohol consumption. I enjoy this a lot because I'm less tempted to go out and party and can focus on school.

Wireless Access – There is no wireless access at UNiversity towers, which is on campus living... How is that possible? How are we expected to work in groups if we can't access the internet because there is no WIFI. A lot of times it would crash then we would be screwed for homework since a lot of it is done online

Global Studies – I am a Global Studies major and it was extremely easy to get into. All I had to do was meet with an adviser to declare my major. My adviser very clearly explained to me which classes I needed to take and helps me set up my schedule every semester. One interesting thing about Global Studies is the requirement to go abroad. You can fulfill this requirement by studying abroad or interning abroad. For me this was a dream come true as I've always wanted to see the world and experience different cultures.

Great Global Opportunities – ASU is a pretty big school that offers almost every major imaginable. Their Global Studies program is fantastic. They offer so many great Global options from study abroad to internships and great scholarships to help cover the cost. All of the professors here are great. They are all very passionate about what they do and really want to help their students succeed. While I do wish it was more affordable to attend ASU I do understand that the financially difficult times makes it next to impossible to get an affordable education. Despite it's reputation ASU is not just a party school. While there are many clubs close by and awesome partying opportunities on campus, ASU is very focused on academics as well. You can't succeed here if you spend all your time partying and don't put in equal time with the books and class.

Everyone complains about the parking because it's expensive and inconvenient. The only lot affordable is Lot 59 and it's all the way across campus. There is no where to park within a mile radius from the school, and on campus be prepared to walk... a lot. The Flash buses are a big help though they are pretty slow. It's probably easier if you live on campus to not have a car.

Mill Avenue – The night life here is the highlight of the school. Mill Avenue gets a lot of attention and tons of people go out at night. However, if you are underage you basically can't do anything which is a bit of a bummer.

The academics at ASU are average. It definitely has a big school feel in the classroom and most teachers are less interested in the course as they are in their research. Even in person classes have a lot of online work which is convenient until you ask the teacher a question and they don't want to answer. The work load is pretty large, but I usually take a lot of classes so I might be biased. The worst aspect of ASU is how expensive everything is. I would like to study abroad but I can't afford it.

School Spirt for Football Games – School Spirit for our football games are amazing. We have themes which make the games fun.

Dining Hall – The dining hall at ASU is ok , but not the best. Barrett the Honors college has a great dining hall.

The computers that Cronkite offers to its students are amazing. They offer high quality apple computers and offer printing in certain rooms.

I think the transportation at our school is great, but sometimes they can be so bad like they don't run late when you need them or too full, and have to wait for another one.

Ticketing and Fines – I feel that there is enough space for parking but we should also include some free parking for students. Not everyone can afford to pay parking for their cars.

Social Atmosphere – I like the social atmosphere here in Arizona State, because everyone is just so friendly and everyone wants to have a good time, learn we all came here because Arizona State University is just THE BEST!

Off Campus Expensive – I live in a dorm, but the apartments here aree fairly convenient to distance from school but i know for a fact their super expensive if you live alone but as long as you have or get a roomate, it wont be that pricey, depending on location of apartments.
College Senior 2011-09-29T02:17:32Z
Student Center – The student center is very convenient becausee all the important offices like financial, student account help and etc are all on the same building and floor.

Everyone seemed to be very nice and I loved that they had their own newspaper everyday. It is also walking distance to most bars.

Need More – Most of the computer labs allowed you to chose whether you wanted to use a MAC or a PC. It was also sometimes really hard to even get to use a computer. Also you had to print and for some reason would always break.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
