I currently do not have car parked at the university and that is largely due due to the horrible parking options of Tempe. Tempe provides no parking spaces available and the university only offers parking permits at prices that are too high for a student trying to finance an education can pay for.

Political Science – The Political Science Department at Arizona State University is excellent. They provide every opportunity for their students for them to be successful and create a comfortable learning environment. The workload is not over bearing and allows the student to expand their studies to other things like languages and business. The faculty are knowledgeable about the subjects they teach and the facilities they teach in are magnificent. The department provides opportunities to find an internship and there are many outside internship opportunities available as well. Overall the universities program is top notch and should be a consideration for all interested students.

Guys & Girls:
There is always something happening on campus. Sororities and Fraternities and clubs are always offering opportunities to join for other students. It is very friendly however overwhelming at times, the campus gets really full with social effects it makes it difficult for students to study outdoors because of all the distractions.

Campus Improving – I do not live on campus, but I do spend most of my days on campus going to class anf the library doing homework. I love the library hours it is 24 hours for students and that is very convenient, however the MU is not. I feel that should be 24 hours as well it will make it easier for students to study.

Health & Safety:
I do not feel safe at all when it comes to night time. I think they should have more securities on campus and more emergency poles in case of emergencies. The crime rate in Tempe, Az. is high.

Lots of Choices – The only problem with the housing around the campus is that you go from really poor housing to really good housing, but you have to reach alittle further to get the best price and the best quality.

The variety is outstanding and the food is always pretty good. I would eat there every day if that was what was closest to me.

Could Be Better – The area does not have that much, as far as ASU west goes. The Tempe campus is much larger and has many more options.

Totally Going Green – Arizona State is really unique on the Tempe campus with its green movement. It recently opened up a sustainable living facility that allows students to grow their own veggies and such, and we even have an entire department devoted to global sustainability research. It's definitely one of the more eco-friendly campuses around, which I think is really admirable; plus, ASU makes it very easy for the student body to feel like they're participating in the green movement, which just makes me want to continue recycling!

People Come Here to Party...Period. I actually have few complaints regarding the academics here. Advisors are easily accessible and really willing to help you out, and my major-specific professors have been nothing short of amazing. The social life is really dependent on partying and the people you meet while getting drunk and high. As a straightedge kid, it's difficult to meet people who don't think I'm a buzzkill - and the huge campus makes it close to impossible to see people very often. Your floormates are really your only chance to get to meet people without having to sacrifice an arm and a leg...or a liver.

Not Entirely Enforced – Arizona State is a dry campus, but there are in-dorm parties all the time. RAs are pretty lax about maintaining the dry campus state as long as things don't get too out of control, but I have seen a few parties busted for being too loud or rowdy. There are lots of security guards and on-campus police officers that have a good track record of keeping drunk students under control and watching over any possible DUIs, though, so there are times when strictness is enforced.

I have yet to receive any money. They say my parents make too much. But they don't help me with school at all. I pay for everything on my own, so I think that is unfair. But speaking with a financial aid officer will help a lot. They can help with any questions you may have and provide websites for scholarships.

Greek life at ASU is a lot of fun. I have a lot of friends in sororities and frats. There are a lot of formals and functions.

Students who are 21 and older have a huge variety of things to do at night. Bars, clubs, house parties. Bar and clubs on Mill Ave and in Old Town Scottsdale are the most popular. Transportation is nice. There is the light rail, that will take you basically anywhere in tempe. And cabs usually aren't too busy so they only take about a half an hour to get to you. Nightlife for underage students on the other hand is a little more difficult. I personally have a lot of friends who are 21, when we all go to house parties they can drink, but the cops are way too strict in Tempe. Cops usually break up house parties fairly quickly and hand out MIC's like they are candy. Your best bet for underaged students would be Frat parties. They are fun, lots of dancing and less cops.

Guys & Girls:
I would describe the girls and guys at Arizona State University really attractive. Greek life is really big at ASU, so if you want a social life, then you definitely would want to look into sororities and fraternities. The people at ASU dress very casual, and according to the weather. The relationships between the boys and girls at ASU would cliquey. Everyone hangs out with their type. It is not very diverse. Many people of different races come to this school, but stick with their own.

I would say that ASU is probably mostly white, but we also have a lot of international students. Diversity of religion is very big on campus and there are different political beliefs. Most have a club on campus that you could join if you wish to.

I have my own personal computer that I use so I don't pay much attention to the computers at school, but ASU's wireless service works great. Their blackboard site right now is at least working better then when they updated it at the beginning of the summer. Not sure why they updated, because their last version was great.

Can Be Challenging If You Want – If you want to be academically challenged then Arizona State University is definitely right for you. Of course there are the "easy classes" but if you truly came to college to learn and expand your mind then there are classes and professors on campus that will greatly benefit you. ASU has a great Honors program and plenty of undergraduate research opportunities. If you're not afraid to seek out challenges you'll fit right in here.
