ASU does not allow any alcohol or pets in any of the rooms on campus. I think that they should allow pets at least. Animals such as cats would be nice.

ASU offers a vast range of majors and minors. Each curriculum is designed to be challenging as well as rewarding. The programs provide you with necessary knowledge that you will use throughout your intended career.

The business school is one of the best in the nation and provides a lot of resources to students.

Try to avoid parking. It can be very expensive and far from classes. The only upside is free parking on weekdays after 7 and weekends

There aren't that many choices. Meal plans can be expensive but the purchase of M&G dollars gives you discounts at a lot of places. The cafeteria food is satisfactory.

There are a lot of scholarships and a lot of them go unclaimed.

ASU has strong basketball and football teams. There is an abundance of school spirit. Other sports often don't get a lot of funding and aren't given the same special treatment.

for freshman I would recommend Hassayampa and San Pablo which are the nicest. Beware most of the dorms require meal plans.

No Problems With the Scholarship Office – If anything, the scholarship process is too easy. They actually made my scholarship easier to maintain during my junior year.

Alcohol Is Better – Alcohol is more popular than drugs. While some students partake in using pills to make it through finals week, most students drink.

Blackboard Never Works – The "Blackboard" system -- the online way to check our grades, review for tests, etc., always goes down at the most inopportune times. Professors always have problems getting it set up in time for class to begin and it always crashes during online exams.

No Problem – I applied for financial aid through FAFSA and all things were taken care of. When I did find myself in need of additional financial help, the college did all they could to ensure that all was taken care of.

Temperature gets really high in the summer. However, free water bottles are available. Also, the rest of the year, the weather is no problem.

Valley of the Sun – Many options when wanting to leave campus. Sporting events nearby and plenty of shopping malls!

The SRC, MU and Hayden Library are definitely some of the greatest facilities offered by ASU!!

Not Too Much – I did not receive any financial aid from ASU nor FAFSA so my parents are paying full pop out of state tuition. It is unfortunate that they have to pay so much, but I did not apply for scholarships/financial aid due to my parent's income and my high school grades.

Many Options – A great thing about ASU is all of the options of transportation. One could pay $25 and receive and UPass for the lightrail and bus system, or they could purchase a parking pass for any campus. Great options!

One of the reasons I chose ASU was because of all of the diversity on campus. You can walk around anywhere and see a white, black, Asian, or Mexican person within the first few seconds. Every economic background is represented at ASU, as well as political and religious beliefs. Different sexual orientations are also widely known and accepted at ASU.

The amount of Financial Aid I received is unreasonable. The amount they gave me was not even enough to cover tuition costs. On top of that, even living on my own they still refuse to give me more. I was forced to get alternative loans through my bank. The financial aid representatives acted as though everything would be okay when in reality, it's not.

City of Tempe – What isn't there to do in Tempe? Arizona State University, one of the largest universities in the country, has just about everything to offer. Located near ASU is Arizona Mills, and huge shopping mall with a Harkins Theater, and also Tempe Market Place is near too. The atmosphere is great, lots of people I can relate to. There is always something going in around here no matter what.

Computer Science to Mathematics – After being at ASU for over 2 years, some people have been extremely helpful in guiding me though the classes and others have just added to the headache. My advisers have been my saviors throughout most of my college career and the professors are really great too. ASU does mostly a fine job in selecting their professors and advisers.

Parking is a problem for Arizona State, only due to the price of the parking permits. Parking lots are in abundance, but they drag and hefty price for a 8 by 6 foot piece of concrete. If you're comfortable paying $750 for a parking permit, then ASU is the place for you!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
