The options for dinning here are great. They have tons of Vegan and Vegetarian options including "Meatless Mondays" in the main dining halls where all of the main course meals are Vegan and Vegetarian friendly. The MU has two floors with tons of options. Pappa Johns, Taco Bell, Qdoba, Einsteins, Subway, Jamba Juice, and Burger King are all located in the MU as well as buffet style dining hall, "Pitchforks". There are also multiple halls and restaurants dotted along campus. The recently renovated Manzi has a brand new buffet style dinning hall as well. There is tons of options to mix up your daily meals.

Public Transportation is amazing. For $1, you can get a one ride pass on the metro. This then allows you to go from campus, to the Airport for a dollar without having to deal with catching buses and taxis. Getting to Phoenix via light rail is also easy, it's cheap and takes you right into the heart of the city. Day passes are $4, and allow you to take trains back and forth as you need. Taxis are very quick, however they can get expensive. All of the transportation runs full time and is very easy to access.

ASU almost feels like an international hub. There are so many people from so many different places, all with different religious and political backgrounds. I have met people from almost every state and from many different countries including China, Japan, India and various countries from Europe.
On top of the amount of diversity, there are many clubs related to diversity. There are clubs for sexuality, race, religion and political views. Each of which meet weekly and allow members to meet people with similar backgrounds.

So long as you are being respectful and do not have drugs or alcohol, the campus is a great, laid-back place if you want it to be. That being said, there is a serious study-environment if you want that.

There is always available parking and the parking staff is very diligent about watching what goes on in them. That means that the vehicles are relatively safe, but that one will be quickly fined if one lacks a permit.

The computers are always available and generally work pretty well for the basic things, like internet and paper writing. The IAP students have access to the more advanced software they need.

The intercampus shuttle is great, but I wish that it ran on the weekends. That being said, I understand that gas is expensive and that the buses don't always have passengers, but must run anyways. I can make do without the weekend buses, but it would be nice.

The weather at ASU is pretty bad against the heat. In the summer, the average is over 105. It doesn't start getting cool until October and that's barely between 80 degrees and 85 degrees. It starts getting warm again by February and hotter by the month. Don't be surprise if it gets over 115.

The downtown ASU campus recently opened its new gym right next to the YMCA gym this Fall 2013. I would have to say that it is by far the best gym that I have been to. It is also joined with the YMCA and there's plenty of equipment for everyone.

ASU has a few Campus all around the Phoenix area. The downtown Phoenix ASU campus has a variety of restaurants outside of the campus. Most have student discounts. Just show them your student ID and you're good. It's downtown so you'll find almost anything within the area.

All semesters until this last semester were fine. I expected to get the same amount that I received every other semester, but there was less for some reason. This was stated, but I didn't see it until after I told them I was graduating. If I had accepted the entire amount granted I would not have had a problem.

I don't know personally, but I heard someone talking at my work recently that ASU is having a lot of negative problems from drugs. (Fights and arrests).

It is an okay major. I lost interest past semester and am planning on changing it.

There are many ways to succeed here. there are many available classes as well.

Athletic facilities are great and there are many options and it is convenient. Sports are a big part of campus life.

Okay food in general cafeterias. Some good fast food places make up for it.

ASU is known as the party school and although i just started my first year, that assumption is very true. There are tons and tons of parties throughout the week. Fraternities constantly have themed parties that people can attend if invited. Some parties are not directly on campus but they are walking distance. Transportation consist of taxis or personal drivers. There are numerous 18+ clubs around Tempe but those are a little further from campus. There is not a day where there is not a party or some sort of social gathering. People are always ready to have a good time and have some fun. Some have more fun than others but there are also awesome stories to share with other the next day.

The heat is unbearable. ONe moment you are clean and then by the time you get to class you look like you swam in a puddle of sweat. That is the only downfall about the weather here in Arizona. It hardly ever rains and when it does people get so excited. The winter time is the weather everyone looks forward too. It doesn't snow but the cold weather is a nice break from the heat. Walking to class in the cold is much more bearable than the heat.

Arizona State University has the greatest support and spirit in its sports. We are all die hard ASU fans no matter what the sport is. There is also a lot of involvement in the intramural sports that are on campus. Students are very active and take advantage of the amazing gym and recreation center we have. Football is the main sport here. The love and out crazy student section proves how dedicated we are to our school.

My roommate and i have been looking for apartments for her for next year and i have noticed that there are tons near campus but the cost is beyond affordable for beginning college students. Although, the apartments are very nice and worth the cost. The convenience is great and safety is good depending on the location. There are some that are safer than others and some that have parties constantly and those that are more mellow. From the few landlords I have met they are very understanding about help about the cost.

The weather is bipolar. During the fall it gets windy and hot sometimes.
College Junior 2013-10-10T19:00:46Z
There are plenty of options. I ride my bike and find that's the best form of transportation. It's a huge school so riding my bike gets me where I need to be quickly and closer than parking and walking when it is 100 out.

Parking permit costs are too high.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
