Its focus on cohesive student life is great. Students have the opportunity to reach anything they need within walking distance, and if not there is a free shuttle helping people to get around. There is a good community and great food nearby and students on the street almost always are smiling.

The diversity is pretty unique. There are people from all around the world who attend ASU. There are students to go to Arizona to experience student life and all Arizona has to offer and there are also those who take online classes to further their education.

Dinning is available but is your average University fast foods and simple selections.

ASU has many campuses and online availability. The resources are always readily available and counselors are really good at helping students get on the right track.

The campus pd patrols but the campus has way to many people smoking near the classrooms.

Well it's extremely hot (it is Arizona, after all) but the campus makes sure to keep students safe and hydrated. Water bottles are given out for free everywhere and fun events that include water activities are during the hotter months.

The diversity on the Tempe campus isn't that great. Mostly Caucasian and Hispanic students. I have witnessed that within many groups on-campus, diversity is low and some ethnicities may feel unaccepted and discouraged to get involved.

There really is something for everyone (clubs, activities, classes, organizatons) but sometimes campus life is crowded with things that dont relate to academics.

The campus is near a lot of local hang outs and clubs so the night life is very lively.

The campus is designed perfectly so that each building has a vibe and flow that fits its purpose! The engineering and performing arts buildings are beautiful and creative.

Plenty of local events happen near campus and the diversity of people and their personalities is great!
College Sophomore 2013-08-14T17:39:23Z
There are many places both on and near campus that are very good, however most off-campus locations are on the pricier side of good, in college student terms anyway. The dining halls are themselves prety good, the best being the one's in the honors college!

Though it is not entirely the university's fault, the public transportation on and around campus is either useless or nonexistent, if you don't have a car here you will have to make friends quickly.

There are many foreign exchange students as well as students of races, religions, and country's. The diversity is apparent, but it is not as 'upfront' as some might like it.

Getting into the Biological Sciences program was fairly easy. Students are placed into class sections/blocks that relate directly to biology. This makes registration an easy process for the upcoming semesters. Students are able to meet other students in their same sections/blocks and are able to create lasting bonds that make up great study groups for classes that the students are taking. Around the middle of your college program, students are encouraged to specify the field of study they want to partake in, in order to start preparing for graduate research programs or medical school. Like with any program, it's all in the details.

Guys & Girls:
The diversity at this school is the most noticeable and incredible. You will see people that come from all around the world, and if you're lucky enough, you will have a chance to meet and get to know more about those students, and they you! It feels like everyone fits in to the social scene at ASU.

The housing options for underclassmen are just as abundant for upperclassmen. Living on campus is the best opportunity that students get to have, especially at ASU, because you become part of a community that engages is social activities that promote long lasting relationships. It also helps that you are walking distance from your classes, so even if you get up late, you're still able to make it to class in a decent amount of time. It takes awhile to move in, but setting up your dorm room and meeting your roommates is the greatest part since you all are going through the same experiences. It's exciting.

ASU has very good policies about students are underage drinking. If they participate in illegal activities such as underage drinking, the policies are there to protect students from doing any harm to themselves or others, rather than just to discipline the student. It promotes security and safety in all communities on campus.

ASU campuses just went drug-free. It is a great accomplishment for the school to keep it clean. It shows students the awareness of drugs and how they affect our whole lives. Peer pressure is not an issue, as not a lot of students are encouraged to go to bars or engage in underage drinking. Policies are in affect to protect students and faculty.

Lots of busses, light rail system, but the parking at ASU is ridiculous, to park in the closest lot costs $800 and you aren't even guaranteed a spot. Park across the street at Tempe Woman's club or Church on Mill, it's less than half the price.
College Sophomore 2013-08-14T00:45:42Z
Herberger isn't all that easy to get into, so the people that are there aren't just anyone who pays to be there. It's a pretty good program so far, the only thing I could think of to make it better is more options on class hours, there's really just one class with one professor at one time for a lot of classes.

Mill avenue is the best, they've literally got every kind of restaurant you could want. My friend and I spent all last year meeting up once a week and trying a new restaurant on Mill and all of them are awesome, and we still haven't hit every one yet.

They've done a good job with putting together the theater and film kids, it gives the ones with the cameras something to shoot and the ones with the drama something to do. Though I'm more shy and don't talk to people, I still have been able to get to know some of my peers through group work and I know lots of people's names simply from hearing lots of the same names in attendance for every class.

Good variety of classes and options for fulfilling requirements

I don't live on campus. I hear stuff from time to time from peers and occasionally you'll run into someone that you can tell is totally baked, but other than that I can't really say.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
