At first, the financial aid process was intimidating! I didn't really know where to start since my high school doesn't prepare us for the application processes. I ventured out on my own, did a lot of research....i would strongly suggest high schools to offer mentors for their students that are interested in attending college! Perhaps, contacting former high school students that are knowledgeable about the ENTIRE application process (preparing for SAT's, scholarships, deadlines for applications....) My former high school is a charter school with no 'guidance counselor'. So, after forging ahead in this journey by myself (with the help of my parents) I feel like i could/should write a manual to help others out!
Receiving financial aid from my university was actually very painless. They have a efficient system that allows you to track what you qualify for, deadlines to apply and many opportunities to contact and discuss your financial aid needs.

Tempe Arizona, I'd give an A+ if summers weren't so dang hot. The rest of the years is amazing.

There are really good computers in some rooms and labs and some outdated and slow equipment. Overall though they all work and use modern platforms.

I have a 30+ minute commute and park, I then ride my bike from the stadium to campus. There are a lot of buses for those who don't want to ride.

I have not experienced a heavy abundance of drug usage at ASU although I have heard there are groups who do use drugs. Mostly drinking occurs.

I am new to the campus and haven't experienced very strict policies.

Better Than I Expected – Aside from a few hiccups with some of the amenities, living on-campus at Arizona State is an enjoyable experience. Mostly quiet and there's enough space for about anything you want to do.

Arizona State is in the middle of the Sonoran desert, so it gets quite hot during the spring and summer with the coldest being in the 40's during the winter months. All buildings are air-conditioned and they are pleasant rests from the outside.

Up-To-Date and Efficient – The campus computer lab has modern models running the most recent software, and each of them is fast. It's a very efficient way of getting schoolwork done. Crowds are common during the weekdays, but the weekends are often more quiet.

Engaging and Intuitive Enough – Taking an English major covers many courses and are all engaging and will cause students to analyze and voice their opinions. It's well suited for people who love to discuss things.

The classes are fun and engaging with a variety of electives available for other fields. The professors have a broad history and all have unique teaching styles. Given this is an English major, be ready for a lot of reading and writing.

At the Arizona State University Tempe Campus, there are more choices than anyone could ask for. Good dining halls, and there plenty of chain restaurants on campus or withing walking distance as well.

ASU is located in north Tempe. The interesting thing about the Phoenix/Metropolitan area is that you can get to pretty much anywhere with little to no trouble. For example, Scottsdale is right up the road from campus, and anything you want to do can be done in Scottsdale.

I am extremely happy with my major program here at ASU. The W.P. Carey school of business is an excellent school, one that I would recommend to anybody. I would definitely go to this school again if necessary. I would love to take what I'm learning here and apply it to my own small business, and continue to grow it into the best company it can be, and W.P. Carey is definitely a great school for business.

I currently do not live on campus. However, several people I know that have lived on campus have given it an excellent review.

I have not had an internship as of yet. This is my first semester at Arizona State University, so I haven't had an opportunity for one here yet. However, I know several people who have gotten internships through their various degree programs, and they were all very pleased with them! One of my friends even interned in Washington D.C. over the summer

The computers here are nice and up to date. But in between certain class periods it gets quite crowded. It would be convenient to have your own computer at times like these. It isn't mandatory to own your own, you just might have to search around other areas on campus to find an available one. The wifi is very fast and up to speed as well as the internet on each computer.

I live at home 30 minutes away. The commute isn't bad. Without a parking pass you will have to pay out of pocket quite heftily and that adds up quickly. The best possible options are to buy a cheap annual parking pass and take the shuttle busses to campus. The shuttle busses run every 15 minutes and are free of charge.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
