There are numerous locations to use computers and print on the different campuses. HOWEVER they are very slow and sometimes do not let you log on..it has taken over 5 minutes to log on before.

The financial aid process was a little difficult for me because I am out of state and had issues trying to find out when and how I could be classified as a resident to receive tuition breaks however I did get the run around a lot and there was a lot of stress I had to take and complete to receive information
College Junior 2013-05-30T16:49:21Z
In addition to the FAFSA I was required to submit extra paperwork which slowed down the process and I believe reduced the amount of aid I eventually received. I would recommend doing the paperwork as soon as possible and being tenacious about checking on the status of your paperwork.

The Greek system has suffered a lot of bad publicity lately due to the drowning death of an inebriated underage member as well the hospitalization of a high school girl for burns suffered while attending a frat party. There have also been arrests for fighting and assault. While these events may not represent the full scope of Greek life at ASU, these events are fueling the push to eliminate the Greek system from the University. If these groups want to remain a part of ASU, they are going to have to improve their public persona.

Parking is fair, it is a big university... lots of ground to cover

The problem is the housing around Tempe isn't a very good area. A lot of homeless people live throughout the neighborhoods. Some neghborhoods are very dangerous and violence is seen throughout the areas on a daily basis. I had to live about 5-6 miles from campus in nearby Mesa just to find a reasonably priced and safe neighborhood to live in. The school needs to lower on campus housing prices instead of leaving students with no choice but to live in a bad area due to cost.

Being a political science major is great! This being my first semester in this major, I was really sucked into the course material by my Professors. Before I started my progess on this major I was simply interested in politics and now I just can't get enough. My professors did a great job of providing a reasonable curriculum and engaging me throughout the semester with thoughtful and free-form discussion.

The financial aid does an alright job but I wasn't really offered any grants or money. I was only offered subsidized and unsubsidized loans. The process wasn't easy either. It was very hard for a first time college student to grasp, especially being the first child in the household to go to college.

My first year living at the dorms was amazing, i just recently moved out of the dorms into my house with my roommate who also lived with me in the dorms. I did not have many restrictions while living in the dorms so living in a house is not much different. I do however love the space i have in the house, the fact that i can cook real food, have a normal size fridge, more than one bathroom, and my own tv. This is whyi give the ASU off campus housing an A-

I have just declared this major and at the moment just trying to finish my general studies. I am looking forward to taking organizational leadership classes as well as trying out the sub-catagories of this major.
College Sophomore 2013-05-29T17:59:01Z
At the moment i am an organizational leadership major, this will transfer over as a business major when i transfer to the main campus, the major options for ASU in general are tremendous, but as for ASU colleges of Lake Havasu we need some help. There are currently only five active majors this school offers, but once we accept more students we will have a bigger variety of wants and more money to pay for the classes asked for.

ASU has so many different clubs and activities for every ethnic background. So many different races go to ASU, and everyone is very accepting of them!

The housing is great for freshmen as they all get a place to live for a year! Everyone lives with people in their major which is very helpful when it comes to academic success. Although upperclassmen do not have as many places to choose from.

Greek life on campus is very accepting and has a great atmosphere. They are all very friendly. The only thing that I would recommend is for them to get more Greek housing!

I am very pleased with my school's academics. All of my classes have been very intriguing and the workload is manageable. I have been enrolled in the Communication program since I first registered and I couldn't be happier. The range of topics involved within this major provides me with the opportunity to be knowledgeable in many areas while still maintaining the purpose of increasing my communication competence.

The main dining facility offers a variety of options for students to choose from. However, many of these options are fast food, which I try to avoid. I think the school should implement healthier restaurants into the dining hall to encourage students to live a nutritionally sound lifestyle.

I never lived on campus so I can't rate the housing with confidence. However, the dorms that I have visited are quite spacious and well maintained. The social atmosphere is very active with people skateboarding, biking, jogging, etc. Although peaceful at times, campus life seems to be a constant buzz of social engagement and determined students fulfilling their daily duties.

Public transportation options are effective and convenient. The recently installed light rail near the campus is great for both local and long distance transportation. The bus system adds yet another option for students to take advantage of with its conveniently located stops throughout campus and around the city. Out of the various transportation possibilities, these two are the most affordable.

Campus parking is limited and very expensive. So expensive, in fact, that a ticket received for parking in a restricted space is less costly than an actual permit. However, trying to park off campus can be difficult due to restricted areas and inconvenient locations. This campus is in dire need of more cost effective, convenient parking structures.

Many computers aren't in working condiction. It takes a computer quite a long time to log in or off. Printing is quite expensive at about 12 cents for a black and white page. Sometimes the command to add a certian document to the print anywhere profile doesn't register.

There are many restaurants on campus in the union building as well as just near by the campus
