Plenty of computers all across campus and occasionally, there is free printing in some labs and campuses.

In grad school we obtain a lounge for us to hang out and meet new people. We can also eat and relax from the stress of school.

I've finished my bachelors in Anthropology and I would do it again. The courses they provided were very vigorous but also interesting if possible I would redo it again and check out other classes they have especially Classical Greek courses.

I have not done an internship but I am interested in applying for one. I've talked to my adviser and she recommended me to look into the city of Phoenix for any possible opportunities. I suggest talk to your adviser or a career service adviser to help you out in finding a good internship that relates to your career.

My program is public administration and it is vigorous so the students have to be on top their readings and assignments. Since Im doing my masters in this field its easier because it only pertains to my major and I do not have to take classes to do not consist with my degree.

It is extremely easy to meet new people from all over the world, not just from the United States. Diversity is welcomed with open arms and people are comfortable with their own backgrounds around others.

Athletics are great for everyone to participate in and it brings the students together. Coaches could be better.

I am not concerned about finding a job. My goal is to become a doctor and open up my own practice. I'm very happy with being in Biological Sciences its helping prepare me for med school.

I've never had an internship. But i think it would be very useful and helpful for me. Typically one can sit at a desk or have an hands on internship. I do have some concerns because I don't know how hard it will be to find a Medical internship.

The Nightlife is for students who are 21 and older. There are a lot of house parties around campus though for students who are underage and not able to get into the bars on Mill Avenue. Mill Avenue has a variety of different bars you can bar hop to. If you like more of the club scene, Old Town has tons of different bars and clubs you can dance at about 10-15 minutes away.

Transportation is good at Arizona State University if you are going to class early or are not running late. The buses make a stop around about every 10-15 minutes. They are free to all ASU students. We also have the lightrail to take you to the ASU downtown campus or to different stops around Tempe. It isn't too expensive for a ticket either.

I received a decent amount of financial aid, but it was hard to get and it did not cover nearly as much as I needed it to.

The greek life at our school is slowly declining and majorly overrated if you ask me. It's basiccally buying friends and it takes up a lot of time that interferes with your academics.

A lot of the people fail out of ASU. We have a very low graduation rate. Some of the professors are decent while others can barely speak English.

Being a biological sciences major at my school is tough and no one actually warned me or helped me realize how hard it would be before I picked it.

No weather conditions to speak of. Always sunny, bright and shiny in the phoenix valley. Occasional rain during monsoon season and sand storm that you have to be aware of but it rarely affects class or being able to get to classes.

Scholarships at Arizona State University are not abundant. Especially with the numerous amount of students enrolled in the university. I did not receive a lot of financial aid. It is not a super easy process and the out of state tuition difference killed me in that case But if you hunt you can find help and the information you need.

Drug problem at Arizona State is not a huge problem. Of course you have the circles that partake in various activities however, this is all in the circles you hang and who you decide to hang out with and surround yourself with. Arizona State Police are always on the prowl and lookout for things like this. Drinking and smoking are the most popular activities and this is not something you have to do.

The fact that this is DI school is definitely evident when it comes to the sports at Arizona State University. The training and workout facilities are outstanding. Every weekend even during the week you can be sure that students, faculty and alum alike are all attending and supporting their favorite sporting events. Intramurals are numerous and as a student you have no problem joining any teams or sports.

Food gets old after awhile, but what can you really do when there is only one dining hall on campus. The food truck needs to come by more often.

The nightlife at ASU is a lot of fun. There is a strip called mill avenue very close by with all the bars clubs and social get togethers that you could think of. The atmosphere on mill avenue is great, especially with the new Tempe town lake right at the end of mill avenue that they have now, Not to mention all of the events that take place at tempe beach park from runs, charity events, and the iron man.

I'm a Communications (BA) major at ASU's New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences and have had an extremely positive experience. It's nice at taking Communications at the West Campus as well because it's a lot smaller than the Tempe (main) campus.

I can't speak for out-of-state students but for Arizona residents I'd say it's pretty easy to get into the Communications program at ASU. As long as you meet some basic requirements you'll get accepted. Also, there's no essay required, which can be a plus for many students.

I'm pretty happy with the experience I've had as a Communications (BA) major at ASU thus far. I've had nothing but positive experiences with professors and I like that most of them truly want to see you succeed. My goal is to graduate and find work with a PR firm and eventually work my way up to a PR manager.
College Sophomore 2013-01-08T02:21:26Z
I'm a Communications (BA) major at the West Campus and have really enjoyed my experience thus far. I've been very blessed with professors that truly love what they do and want to see you succeed, which can be rare. Also, if you take the time and effort to create a relationship with them it can often lead to an internship or other program that you may not have heard about before.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
