There are people of many different races and religions at ASU. However, the different races tend to stick together.

The housing is nice but it's extremely expensive. It's nice because the dorms are very close to classes but I wish there were more food options that would work with meal plans.

It's often really sunny, and most of the time it's going to be either warm, or very hot. It gets tiring to walk to classes in the heat, but there's little chance of having to walk around during heavy rains, which is good. Overall, the heat can make it a little exhausting, but it's super nice in general.

It really depends what kind of transportation you are taking. Driving sucks, avoid it if at all possible! The parking lots are over priced and if your first class is at 12pm, good luck finding a spot that isn't 2 miles away from campus. Although there are places around Mill that are either free or will give you an hourly ticket, but leave at around 9pm, meaning you just have to wait them out, which isn't a problem if you have a late evening class.
The Phoenix bus system is old, and they don't have the most reliable schedule at times. I prefer the Tempe Orbit system, which is smaller, but free and easy to use. Also the Metro Light Rail is a great way to get from the down town campus to central campus.
Biking is a really convenient option if you live close to campus. Tempe is a pretty bike friendly city with plenty of bike lock ups and paths.
For security, ASU does offer a pick up student for those that live close to campus and had a late night at the library, sorority function, ect.

Job employment at ASU has lots to do with social interaction. Keeping connected with key people allows someone to socially connect to opportunities from a wider audience view . Keeping your own private job reference base is a good play on your network friendliness.

My career strengths are creation, whether in collaboration with another, or independent self paced workflows. There is a means of structure that many play on the fields with and most attempt to imitate to better their means. I want to become a director, and producer. Possibly after many, many jobs relevant to the major companies in Hollywood, California.

I'm through to the stage in my adult life where I want to receive higher education, and in the timeframe I am allowed for career building I'd like to intern somewhere relevant to the field I am currently earning a degree in. Things relevant to production, and media; as well as future security development.

The program had interesting discussions and review for the content, they followed study topics pretty closely. The program was full paced and adequate for even a hungry intellect. You can study the various topics.

I think the campus can be pretty strict. You can drink a lot at the apartments and not get caught. I think the dorms are a lot more strict though. Also, in Arizona, the punishment for underage drinking is an MIC (MInor In Consumption), which goes on your criminal record. On the East Coast, when cops break up a party they just make you pour out everything and tell everyone to go home. Not in Arizona. An MIC goes on your record and stays with you for life. Just for underage drinking. Ridiculous.

The computers are okay, can be pretty slow, especially if you're trying to print things in a rush.

The weather is usually hot 8 months of the year, and the other 4 months are a lot cooler.

Health & Safety:
The school a lot of security on campus, whether it is police officers to late night guards.
College Senior 2012-12-16T01:32:47Z
There are plenty of bus routes nearby, traffic for parking on campus could be much worse, and the light rail is very convenient-- there are 2 stops on campus, and there is a special U-pass for ASU students that is $150 for a whole year, which is a significant discount from what a student would pay buying an all-day light rail pass each day.

The fact that my campus is in Downtown Phoenix makes it hard to get away with anything. There are constantly police officers driving around the dorms, there are police officers on bikes and that walk around the campus. In the dorms there is security and you have to use your ID to get into the building and to activate the elevators. The CA's on duty in the dorms are also strict. If you get caught drinking its a write up and a meeting with the dean. If you get caught with any illegal drugs they call the police on you and search your room. The police also go inside the building and do daily rounds where they walk around the halls.

Guys & Girls:
The students at ASU vary from race, size and sexual orientation. ASU is like a melting pot of diversity. I go to the downtown campus and there are a lot more older students versus younger, The boys vary from being extremely intelligent to being hippie loving men. Most of the girls are brunette and petite.

My school's nursing program is very difficult to stay it, but well worth the challenge

If you are over 21 the bars on Mill ave are almost a good time every weekend. There are not many options for under 21 students though.

WP Carey School of business is why I came to ASU because they have one of the top business programs in the nation. The professors have great knowledge of the subject they teach and a willing to pass that along to you. The workload can be a little overwhelming at times.

Health & Safety:
There have been a couple incidents such as late night thefts when walking alone at night. Just be careful when it gets dark, be alert.

The Campus police are very strict but if you keep yourself out of bad situations then it is very easy to get along with them.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
