My school's nursing program is very difficult to stay it, but well worth the challenge

If you are over 21 the bars on Mill ave are almost a good time every weekend. There are not many options for under 21 students though.

WP Carey School of business is why I came to ASU because they have one of the top business programs in the nation. The professors have great knowledge of the subject they teach and a willing to pass that along to you. The workload can be a little overwhelming at times.

Printing is free, but the wireless internet does not work at times.

Health & Safety:
There have been a couple incidents such as late night thefts when walking alone at night. Just be careful when it gets dark, be alert.

The Campus police are very strict but if you keep yourself out of bad situations then it is very easy to get along with them.

I'm an Accounting major at Arizona State University and I love it there. The professors and guidance counselors have been great and really care about what they are teaching. I've been able to start a networking with fellow students and even with instructors.

ASU has a huge variety of programs and opportunities, and it keeps on getting bigger. They have all kinds of flexible jobs that can work with each students unique schedule. Hundreds of clubs and you can make your own if you cannot find one of your liking. And parties all the time everywhere. Even during finals so you can relieve your stress. They also bring in puppies from animal shelters to reduce student stress. ASU really cares for their students.

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences have the best dorms out there. They are new, CA's have something fun planned for each semester, and other dorm CA's invite other students from different dorms to their fun events. Palo Verde dorms are the worst dorms ever! I come from a low income house and even my house looks better than those dorms. Something fun is always going on in campus from sorority to club events. We even have drag shows! That is how fun and great ASU is. No matter who you are, you will always be accepted here.

Public transportation here is awesome! There are buses that take you for free to other ASU campuses. We have a light-rail and buses which you pay for at a very low price of 0.85 cents per ride. And you can buy a year pass which will come at a lower price and you can use it unlimited amount of times.

The are a lot of restaurants around here but students get sick of them in less than a year. And the best restaurants are not very close to campus for example, the Olive Garden.
College Senior 2012-12-12T17:53:26Z
All the student centers and facilities are new, and if you live in the dorms they host events every week with free food and fun prizes and its very easy to meet people

There are many options around campus, mostly fast food. There is enough diversity within the restaurants to keep the food from getting boring.
College Senior 2012-12-10T17:22:29Z
Public transportation is great. There are two free bus routs to get around campus and there are several free routs that go through Tempe. ASU also has the Tempe hub for the valley.

At west campus... I missed out on the cheaper parking permits, but the more expensive one may just be worth it. The lot is never more than half full, and I usually get the same spot every day. At the end of an aisle. Covered. And at night, well lit. I'm very satisfied.
College Sophomore 2012-12-10T04:57:28Z
Its always sunny, even in the winter. The weather is always bipolar. Super hot in the summer, it can get up to 115.

If you are looking for drugs, you'll find them. Otherwise there really isn't drug or alcohol visibility at Arizona State University. There are a lot of people who smoke cigarrettes all over the main campus. But that is about it.

I am an intercampus shuttle rider. It arrives every 30 minutes and has stops at every ASU campus. However, there are never enough buses when you need them. They are always filled and very difficult to catch. It gets so bad that people push you out of the way to assure themselves a seat. In addition, if you are running late, you might as well take your car to class instead of the shuttle. And if that happens, be ready to pay $2 an hour in a parking garage. That's IF the garage isn't already full (which it most likely always is). A parking pass for a semester is very expensive, too. Overall, parking and transportation is pretty horrible at ASU.
College Junior 2012-12-08T17:02:48Z
Parking is so difficult!! The parking passes for the on-campus parking lots are astronomically expensive. If you want to pay every time you park there, there are parking garages for like $2 an hr but that adds up so quickly. Basically it's a nightmare to find parking if you can't afford to pay $600-$700 for a parking pass.

Health & Safety:
I feel very safe on campus. There are always campus police riding bikes around and patrolling campus. There are lit up emergency stations at almost every corner.

work great but they are sort of old (the ones available in the libraries)

Arizona State University has 4 campuses spread out throughout the valley. The main campus is in Tempe, Arizona. It is a beautiful city with a great college atmosphere. There are shopping centers throughout, and the ASU art building hosts shows frequently. The famous Herberger Institute is home to a lot of major broadway shows. The Diamond Backs stadium can be found near the Downtown Phoenix Campus of ASU. As well as the Children's museum, theaters and art museum. The mountains are beautiful and great for hiking and other exercising activities.

The city of Arizona is known for nice weather all year round. That definitely contributes to the nightlife atmosphere. Students can hang out on Mill Ave and enjoy the great weather as well. Mill Ave is filled with bars and clubs. I am not 21 quite yet, and I have yet to go to a bar scene. They do have 18 and up parties and clubs as well which are fun if you go with the right crowd. The LightRail is extremely convenient form of transportation. I would suggest taking that if you plan on drinking, or having a designated driver. There's always something to do and see on Mill Ave. Around the holidays, the streets are lit up with Christmas lights, and there is a lot of outdoor entertainment. It's all about what you make of it!

The food here is pretty good, you just have to know where to go. The typical buffet style diners are average, but give you plenty of choices. However, I live on the north side of campus and am always eating at devils diner/bistro/devils greens. the food there is great, tons of options the only problem is sometimes theres a wait. Theres plenty of actual restaurants on campus though that accept m&g dollars which is really nice.

It's AMAZING! I'm from chicago so the weather is absolutely beautiful. In the beginning of the school year its definitely hot, but not unbearable. A month into classes the weather couldn't get any better and it stays that will until classes are out in the summer.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
