Health & Safety:
I feel very safe on campus because there are many emergency buttons that you can press in case of an emergency. There is also an ASU police system, and a group that can walk you places at night. However, there is a lot of robbery and bikes being stolen.
College Sophomore 2012-12-04T19:39:55Z
There is a lot of variety of food on campus, but it can get to be very expensive, and the restaraunts on campus aren't open very late.
College Sophomore 2012-12-04T18:47:42Z
ASU scholarships that cover tuition on its own are hard to come by unless you have an AMAZING sat score and a polished high school transcript.

Health & Safety:
While ASU does try to cater to all of their students, Health and Safety are hard for them to be on top of all of the time because there are SO MANY STUDENTS.

Arizona State has a phenomenal technology center and overall is very good at staying on top of having the best tech possible.
College Sophomore 2012-12-04T18:41:29Z
I am an off campus commuter. however, i do know that the dorms are very nice and the campus overall is very well taken care of.

Guys & Girls:
There is a serious mix of everyone here. You see everything from girls walking around in stilettos to people running around in bunny suits. People are generally really friendly and most are obsessed with Greek life. Drinking is one of the main interests, hands down, and pool parties!
Recent Alumnus 2012-12-04T00:51:10Z
It's basically average; there are plenty of people who do drugs and plenty of people that don't. You aren't really exposed to drugs or drinking on campus at all, just cigarette smoke really!
College Sophomore 2012-12-03T22:22:11Z
ASU is a dry campus. It is possible to get away with drinking in the dorms but if you get caught you're in huge trouble. The police here have zero tolerance for underage drinking and partying and it's a major buzzkill.

Tempe is incredibly supportive of the University and tons of places offer discounts/deals for students on campus. It's awesome in Tempe for the atmosphere. Definitely a college town, but other cities for the remaining three campuses for ASU are varied. West campus in Glendale is more family oriented, which kind of stinks. Downtown Phoenix is really urban, and right next to a local art sculpture. Mesa is low key. Really depends on the campus, but if the surrounding cities with all campuses were all like Tempe, it'd be waaay better.
College Senior 2012-12-03T05:22:59Z
Several different buses go around the campus (Flash, which goes in both clockwise and counter-clockwise) and between the four different campuses (Inter-campus shuttle) which, mind you, are in 4 different cities. And the Orbit bus line, which is a public transportation in Tempe goes around the campus and in the neighborhoods, which helps when you live off campus. The city of Tempe is also hugely bike friendly, so it's easy to get around without a car, sometimes it's even easier. There's also a late night security pick up if you need it for staying late on campus. The Campus Security is easily accessible too. The only downfall is not all campuses are like Tempe. Downtown Phoenix is small, spread out through urban city. Not so biker friendly, but easy to navigate. West Campus in Glendale is more in a 'family' neighborhood, so the bike transport is alright, city buses aren't super reliable always but they are easy to get to. Never been to the campus in Mesa, but I hear it's small.
College Sophomore 2012-12-03T03:53:09Z
I do not like how our transportation is. It is very confusing and not accurate.
College Senior 2012-12-02T17:08:19Z
they always try to enforce ridiculous things that are never going to happen, like walking your bike on campus. we have the bikes to ride them on campus. they wasted a ton of money on the campaign to stop people from riding bikes or skateboards on campus.

Health & Safety:
ASU isn't very safe at all. there are constantly car accidents all around the campus. and there area around the campus is known as sin city because of how much crime goes on their.
College Senior 2012-12-02T17:01:22Z
Tempe has a lot to offer, if you are over 21 anyways, but the area surrounding the university isn't safe at all. you dont want to go out at night.

Guys & Girls:
ASU is a very preppy school. Most girls wear bright colors, a tank top and jeans, and a lot of summer clothes. The guys tend to dress the same. Jeans and a tee or board shorts and a tee. Its all warm weather clothing here. Most of the students are very attractive and outgoing.
College Junior 2012-12-02T09:30:31Z
There are a good amount of parties around ASU. However, there isn't much peer pressure to go to the parties.
College Junior 2012-12-02T09:26:03Z
There is always parking available. Unfortunately, parking passes are very expensive and there is a bit of a walk to campus. There are private lots right across the street from the campus that you can park at but the daily fee adds up unless you are only staying for an hour or two a day.
College Junior 2012-12-02T09:21:47Z
I just applied for financial aid and am still in the process so I have no opinion so far.
College Sophomore 2012-12-01T19:46:32Z
There are tons of restaurants around! You will never go hungry, they are cheap and easy to get to.
College Sophomore 2012-12-01T19:43:48Z
There are police everywhere, you can't really get away with much. The are very strict on drug use.
College Sophomore 2012-11-30T04:26:24Z
I love Arizona weather. I love the heat. The coldest it gets is 40 degrees in the dead of winter, late at night. I love the random rain and lack of snow.
College Sophomore 2012-11-30T04:22:13Z
Awesome! Free transportation is everywhere! They have a shuttle that runs to all four campuses, every half hour, constantly running. Tempe also has a bus system that takes you around campus. Absolutely wonderful.
College Sophomore 2012-11-30T04:20:38Z
I'm pretty sure there is a slightly above average drug usage here , because there are so many parties. However , I honestly don't get out much. But I know there are plenty of drugs here. Nothin too harsh, though.
College Sophomore 2012-11-30T04:16:13Z
They enforce the rules they have very well. No smoking in the dorms. At all. No alcohol or drugs allowed in the dorms. And no rearranging the double occupancy rooms if there is one person in there.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
