ASU has a lot of school pride and keep up with so many of the colleges traditions. There is always something to do on campus to help out the community or get people excited about an upcoming game.

The food on campus is good and there are many options, I just wish that there were more healthy options considering how long the lines are at the few healthy choices there are.

Arizona State campus is huge and cannot be compared to anywhere else. We have a huge student union (the MU) where you can find food, activities such as bowling and pool, there are also many places to study and just relax. We also have a greta library and gym, Almost everyone is friendy and is there for the same reason.

I gave it a C because you either have to live far away from campus where there is no trouble with the police and fire fighters showing. Or you can live near campus where the cops are around all the time. Which is guess is a good think, but the violence is not.

They tell us we should not drink or do drugs, but only some some people inforce it

Financial aid wasn't as difficult as I assumed it would be, but maybe it might have been the fact that I was receiving help from my high school teachers. Since you are going up to college, one starts to receive more reresponsability, that we need to take care of at our own time. If you need help filling out your financial aid one has to receive some help at ASU because they will not help you if you don't ask for help. Asking questions is something we come to learn more in college, withought questions we might end up being confused and lost when it comes to financial aid.

ASU is filled with a diversity of different races, even though it might seem that the majority of students might be white, you also see other types of race, for example Hispanic. I am Hispanic and I don't feel out of place when I attend my classes at ASU. One of the many challenges having to be at ASU is since it it one of the biggest college campus, you have to try even harder to compete with the rest of the other students about your grades. There are many bright students at ASU that it can be hard being the best in a class.I live going to ASU because not only was I able to get financial aid, I also received scholarships. I assumed I would have been the only one receiving these benefits, and feeling less of a person because my family wasn't able to afford it. But on the contrary there are many student who are getting the same help as I am. I love ASU and recommend for students to attend this great schopl.

I do not live on campus, so I do not know how the food is.

There is a lot of sun during the summer months and it can get very hot during the day. This makes most social gatherings take place indoors or at night, which isn't always a bad thing. Walking to class in the middle of the day can be difficult though.

I don't eat at any of the dining halls, but the restaurants found on campus are clean and offer good food. The only thing that is kind of bad is how crowded it can get, but I don't know if there is much you can do with crowd control during lunch time.

For 75% of the year, you are in relatively bearable sun. 20% is spent roasting in the blistering sun of the summer, so walking around in 115 degree weather is not fun. Then the last 5% is the joke of a winter we get which lasts about a month and a half. If you love the sun, then this is the place for you, if not, then... you wont be a happy camper here.

The athletics at Arizona State University are of the highest caliber in my opinion. We have the enormous ASU Wells Fargo arena, where some of the most riveting football games are held. Our workout facilities are state of the art. They have the latest workout, fitness and training machines, basketball courts, tennis courts, running track, soccer field, racquetball courts, swimming pools and more!

They offer a wide variety of majors. In addition, many different ways to take the classes.

It's obviously hot most of the time, which can be unbearable when you have to walk all the way across campus for a class.
College Sophomore 2012-11-11T03:44:13Z
There's a wide variety of places to eat off-campus, most within walking distance.
College Sophomore 2012-11-11T03:42:28Z
There are several different computer commons on campus with an adequate number of computers available as well as helpful staff.

I was an education major at ASU and the program provided us with great opportunities for learning. Through our program we worked at different schools with internships which helped us learn so much more about what our career was going to be like. I was placed for my student teaching in what I had asked for and had a great experience. In my circumstances we were not paid but after my student teaching I had many job opportunities. I was able to start subbing right away, got a job teaching summer school, and then got offered a contract job right after. Overall I had a great experience and would hope that others do as well.

There is a TON of off campus housing around ASU but you really have to be careful about where you chose to live. There are places that are super close to campus but charge way to much for what kind of living they are giving you. Sometimes it's better to live a little further away for a better place to live and just take the light rail or Orbit to school instead and have a nicer place to live.

Guys & Girls:
You will find all different types of people at ASU...my only thing is how un-classy some of the students have become. Girls walk around with body parts hanging out of their clothing that not everyone necessarily wants to see. Other than that, it's great to see all the different cultures and religious groups that are on the campus. The diversity is probably the best thing I can say about the students at ASU. It's nice how there are different clubs, sports, sororities etc for every interest, religion, and gender.

I am a transfer student and I have had good teachers and bad teachers just like any other campus. I just have a problem with the school on how when the whole class is having trouble with a teacher they do nothing about it. They are low on teachers for my major and they give us graduate students who don't care to teach us and then we are wasting paying lots of money for no education.

Tempe is by far one of the best cities to live in if you are a college student. If we had a good greek system here I think ASU would be by far the top place to go to. With great academics and atmosphere nothing beats ASU.

I go to Arizona State University Polytechnic campus and the food there is just terrible. No selection at all and in the foods they have it is just so bad. They have a decent place for sandwich's and a decent hot dog joint, but other than that the place has the worst food ever. Tempe has a lot of better options.
College Senior 2012-11-07T18:55:05Z
There are a lot of international students here, a lot more than what I expected. IT's hard to say though because there are so many people from in-state. There are a lot of people that share their religion and other beliefs on campus.
College Senior 2012-11-07T18:52:24Z
I don't use the dining areas very often but when I do I enjoy that there are places like Taco Bell and Subway. I like the options available.

The labs and simulators here are amazing. Arizona has a great resource of things that you can use.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
