Unfortunately, Greek life has taken a turn down the path of extinction because of some indecent choices that were made by select fraternal groups. You will be quick to notice that Frat Row looks like lined-up crack houses, or you may imagine them to look like a hide-out where illegal immigrants are smuggled and kept into secrecy. Either way, Frat Row is pretty desolate and nearly abandoned aside from the few frats that still reside there.
The most activity you will see out of the Greeks is Rush Week, and that's if you're lucky because even then there is not a lot of hype. Of course, there are sick parties—that's part of the deal when entering into Greek Life—but they are somewhat exclusive, and nobody really hears about them on campus. The amount of raging done in the Greek system depends on the fraternity or sorority you join, so choose wisely. The sororities are pretty under control, though they do carry somewhat of a stigma for being stuck-up and a little ridiculous. Regardless, Greek life is fun no matter what. It comes with a hefty price tag, but the experience is almost guaranteed to be totally worthwhile.
